Chef Barbeas did it again! Excellent products from fresh materials and exquisite tastes upon all dishes! His talented spirit introduces great combinations among one of the greatest views of the Messinian bay! Just try it once. Then, everyday!

Was very nice place before got a lot better now. After the renovation of the flooring and the ceiling, the add-ons of the corridor, refurbishment of tables and chairs, new add-ons on the menu and the perfect sea couches, this places is the perfect to ease in, chill out and relax on your summer vacations.

And the award for the worst cocktail ever made goes to… yeap imagine ordering a basil smash and getting a glass of orange juice with mint inside… the waiter even asked if I enjoyed it while looking at a still full glass as we were leaving. Well, I didn’t.

Nice place, good food (limited choice) and very willing personel. Perfect place for a sundowner.

The view is fantastic, place is very clean and stylish. Friendly staff. Had a great cocktail and mix grill. The quality of the food is top notch and the portions are very generous! Will come back for sure

Visited Kalamata for a day well spent with friends at Hippie beach bar, a beautiful cozy place that made us feel welcome from the very first moment. It is located at Mikri Mantineia seaside village, about 10-15’ from Kalamata center with own parking space available. Although it was a windy day and we saw waves as we passed from Kalamata beach, when we arrived at Hippie the beach water was very calm and crystal clear – not sure if it has to do with the location or something. The setup is amphitheatrical offering unrestricted sea view and each level is equipped with wooden comfy deck chairs and sun loungers - we literally couldn’t resist to take a nap as they felt so good, and the music was only relaxing! We appreciated the clean changing and shower rooms as well as these small, rounded pebbles that were everywhere and saved us from the sand mess. This place kept us all day long and we tried many drinks and food from the menu. We tried the chicken club sandwich which was rich and delicious with homemade French fries. We also tried the mixed grill for 4 persons which had a great variety of meat (including beef meat which is not quite common in mixed grills for cost saving!), homemade cheese croquettes with local cheese varieties, homemade French fries and various dipping sauces. The sunset found us still there with some drinks and jazz vibes – couldn’t wish for more! Totally recommended and already looking forward for our next visit to Kalamata and Hippie beach bar!

A wonderful beach bar with personal style and perspective. The cocktails and the food are all very well prepared and tasty. The staff is very kind, friendly and helpful!
