Used to be a good gym that justified the premium membership fee. Now it is overcrowded, especially the pool, that works as the main attraction and competitive advantage of the club vis-à-vis competition. Most of the time you have to do circle swimming with another 3-4 people in the same lane, naturally not all swimming at the same speed. Too many private lessons, aqua lessons and kids' swimming make it almost impossible to enjoy a good exercise. As if this was not enough, management has just introduced new rules for the pool, whereby you must do circle swimming even when you happen to be alone in the lane! Genius!

Nice place with decent equipment, fairly small space for each unit. We went there on a Wednesday night and it was crowded. Medium clean. The pool area is nice but not a relaxing place. 30€ day pass is definitely too much.

Overall, I would say the gym average and overpriced. But they have facilities not easy to find in Athens. They have good customer service, nice swimming pool and other facilities. These are the plus. But the equipment, despite they look new and modern, they don't have "everything" You need (you can still make ok training though) or enough weights for someone for advanced level, I would say it's mostly for starters or below average. Sauna, another big minus, is so dry, on a level it hurts on not high temperatures and not having a good use of it. Living in Finland mostly, I was excited to use the sauna and it was maybe one of the biggest reasons for me to register on this gym. It is clear, they don't know much about how to use sauna and I'm not sure, if it's the "sauna" the problem (we usually open it and we don't have a problem, it doesn't need normally knowledge). I heard from others the same two complaints, especially about the sauna, so I just have the feeling, they don't care much. The gym had many businessmen using it because it is near their companies or because of facilities for e.g. squash, so they don't even considerate to become better. I personally feel sad, as many of my clients are going there and I would like to join then, but it looks possible they would join me somewhere else. Pretty sad, because it "could" be an "amazing" gym, if they would really take care of it and start worth the high price (that it clearly doesn't).

Really poor COVID protocol followed. On paper it looks robust, but in practice it’s not properly enforced. The showers are old and dirty often. The staff has had an attitude on multiple occasions. Finally, there is no proper bike storage. I would say the service needs vast improvement.

I hope this helps someone before they decide to sign up for this gym. First of all it’s expensive for no reason since most facilities cannot be used due to covid e.g sauna. So you’re only left with pool, weights, cardio etc. 2. Do not fall for them telling you that a trainer will give you a program, the truth is the trainers are very young and unmotivated, maybe because they’re underpaid,if you talk to them you can sense the dissatisfaction. They will never follow up on your program or take their time to stand there and teach you how to do certain exercises properly. They walk around but I don’t see them trying to correct postures of people or asking if anyone needs some help with something but I again I do not blame them, they seem very bored and underpaid. 3. The staff will either be snobby or flirtatious with you, no professionalism whatsoever. They will either be condescending or try to ask about your personal life without even helping you to train properly. 4. Cleanliness has reduced greatly, this is because the cleaners are understaffed and underpaid,I know this because I asked them. 6. One leg press, one smith machine, one prone leg curl for such a huge gym?? One grip of each category. Very few machines for serious exercises, so you have to wait if you want to use anything. Lastly, they don’t answer calls nor change the times on google business page whether they’re closed or open calls on certain Greek holidays that may or may not be official. I wish there were more gyms in Marousi to give them a wake up call. Save yourself 80 euros & just exercise in the park. Update** There are new trainers who are very good. Cleanliness has improved greatly. More professionalism from staff. But The Syntagma gym .. I can write a book about it. It’s old, crowded, machines breakdown .Rope grips need to be replaced. I wouldn’t pay 80 euros for this.

A bit expensive even for the black Friday discount. Good equipment and the fee includes pool. It is confused about extra services such as spa and dietician. Often it is too crowded. Recommendations to the Owner: 1) Please refer on the signing contract explicitly any extra or free services 2) 24hr operation would be more convenient (the reason why I put 4/5) and it would reduce significantly the crowded hours
