Βρισκόταν σε ερειπιώδη κατάσταση μέχρι το 1956 όπου το Υπουργείο Παιδείας και Θρησκευμάτων πραγματοποίησε την αναστήλωσή του. Temple of Byzantine style of the 11th century, built on the spot where in ancient times there was the sanctuary of Heavenly Aphrodite which also had a spring. It was in ruins until 1956, when the Ministry of Education and Religions restored it.
p	p n on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ακόμη ένα εκκλησάκι που χτίστηκε αφού πρώτα γκρεμίστηκε Ελληνικός ναός και συγκεκριμένα αφιερωμένος στην Ουράνια Αφροδίτη. Πολλά από τα μέλη του αρχαίου ναού θα τα βρείτε "εντοιχισμένα". Αριστερά του πιθανόν να είναι ότι απέμεινε από τον βωμό. Δεξιά υπάρχει μια πόρτα που οδηγεί στην πηγή της Αφροδίτης η οποία αναβλύζει ακόμη νερό μόνο που τώρα το λένε "αγίασμα". Ένα Ιωνικό κιονόκρανο που υπήρχε δεν υπάρχει πια. Επισκεφθείτε το πριν εξαφανιστούν και όσα άλλα είχαν απομείνει... Another small church that was built after a Greek temple was demolished and specifically dedicated to the Celestial Aphrodite. You will find many of the members of the ancient temple "built-in". To his left is probably what was left of the altar. On the right there is a door that leads to the spring of Aphrodite which still gushes water only now it is called "holy water". An Ionian capital that existed no longer exists. Visit it before they disappear and what else was left ...

Πρώτα ως ιερό της Αφροδίτης εν Κήποις και μετέπειτα ως ναός των Αγίων Πάντων.. Αδυνατώ να φανταστώ πως ήταν το τοπίο τότε, ωστόσο -ακόμη κι ανάμεσα στα πολυόροφα- παραμένει μια πανέμορφη σταγόνα άλλων εποχών. Αυτό και άλλα πολλά εκκλησάκια ανά την Ελλάδα με ιστορική αξία τα κατέγραψε και τα διέσωσε ο αρχαιολόγος Αναστάσιος Ορλάνδος (1887-1979). Regardless of the religious beliefs of each person, I find it moving that it is a sacred place for thousands of years .. First as a sanctuary of Aphrodite in the Gardens and later as a church of All Saints .. I can not imagine what the landscape was like then, however - even among the multi-storey- remains a beautiful drop of other eras. This and many other churches throughout Greece with historical value were recorded and saved by the archaeologist Anastasios Orlandos (1887-1979).

A man who was in charge told me it's open "until around 11am every day", however the interior isn't that interesting anyway, there's no trace of any old hagiographies, only modern (and uninteresting) icons. Sadly there is a modern and very unsightly erection on its South side. It's main attraction is being lower than street level which allows you to take a good look and to photograph the dome and roof.
