★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Μοναδική, ανεπανάληπτη μοναδική. Δέος προκαλεί τόσο το βυζαντινό κτίσμα αλλά κυρίως το ξύλινο άγαλμα του Αγίου Γεωργίου με την ενέργειά του.
Unique, unrepeatable unique. The Byzantine building is awe-inspiring, but especially the wooden statue of Agios Georgios with its energy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Συμφωνα με την παραδοση απο εδω περνουσε μια αμαξα που την εσερναν βοδια και μετεφεραν το Αγαλμα του Αγιου που ειχαν φιλοτεχνησει Ηπειρωτες ταλιαδοροι με προορισμο την Βασιλευουσα, ηταν ομως τοσο παχια η λασπη που τα βοδια εσκασαν στην προσπαθεια τους να ξεκολησουν την αμαξα, αλλαξαν βοδια και ξαναπροσπαθησαν ωσπου εσκασαν και αυτα.
Τοτε φανηκε σε ολους οτι ηταν Θεικο σημαδι να παραμεινει το Αγαλμα στον περιλαμπρο Βυζαντινο Ναο και ονομαστηκε ετσι προς τιμην του Αγιου Γεωργιου.
According to tradition, a carriage passed by here and was carried by oxen and carried the Statue of the Saint that had been made by Epirus scouts with a destination in Vassilevousa, but the mud was so thick that the oxen burst in their attempt to detach the carriage, but they tried again until they broke out too.
Then it seemed to everyone that it was a Divine sign for the Statue to remain in the glorious Byzantine Temple and it was named so in honor of St. George.
