Ο ναός ανεγέρθηκε μετά από πολύχρονες ενέργειες της Αρμενικής Κοινότητας να αποκτήσει τόπο λατρείας. Βρίσκεται στην περιοχή της αρμενικής παροικίας. Εξακολουθεί να λειτουργεί, ενώ δίπλα της εδρεύει το Αρμενικό Πολιτιστικό Κέντρο και τα γραφεία της Κοινότητας.Όταν εισέλθεις στον εσωτερικό χώρο θα βρεθείς πίσω στον χρόνο . Η διακόσμηση λυτή χωρίς πολυτέλειες και καινούργια αντικείμενα . Είναι κατά κάποιο τρόπο ένα εκκλησιαστικό μουσείο
Newer monuments (1903).
The church was erected after years of efforts by the Armenian community to establish a place of worship. It is located in the area of the Armenian community. It still operates, and next to it is the Armenian Cultural Center and Community offices. When you go inside you will find yourself back in time. The ultimate decoration without luxury and new items. It is in some ways an ecclesiastical museum

Η εκκλησία αποτελεί έργο του Ιταλού αρχιτέκτονα Βιταλιάνο Ποζέλι (1903). Βρίσκεται στην αρχή της οδού Διαλέττη, κοντά στην οδό Τσιμισκή. Είναι αφιερωμένη στην Παναγία Θεοτόκο (Σουρπ Αστβατζατζίν) και αποτελεί τον κύριο τόπο λατρευτικής έκφρασης της Αρμενικής Κοινότητας Θεσσαλονίκης. Επίσης δίπλα στην εκκλησία βρίσκονται τα γραφεία της Κοινότητας το Αρμενικό Πολιτιστικό Κέντρο, τα οποία βρίσκονται διαχρονικά στην ίδια περιοχή που βρισκόταν και η αρμενική παροικία, από την εποχή της οθωμανικής περιόδου.
Armenian Church of Thessaloniki
The church is the work of the Italian architect Vitaliano Poselli (1903). It is located at the beginning of Dialetti Street, near Tsimiski Street. It is dedicated to the Virgin Mary (Surp Astvatzajin) and is the main place of worship of the Armenian Community of Thessaloniki. Also next to the church are the offices of the Community, the Armenian Cultural Center, which have always been located in the same area where the Armenian community was located, from the time of the Ottoman period.
