Το ανώτερο όλων όμως είναι η πνευματικότητα που αποπνέει κατά τις διάφορες λειτουργίες και ιερές ακολουθίες. Αξίζει να εκκλησιαστεί κάποιος μόνο και σαν εμπειρία. Κατανυκτική ατμόσφαιρα που όλοι, ιερείς, ψάλτες, επίτροποι και εκκλησίασμα, δημιουργούν αλλά και διατηρούν με ευλάβεια κατά τη διάρκεια των ακολουθιών. Από πολλές απόψεις μια εκκλησία στολίδι.

It was built around 1839, by workers of Epirus.
The present church was established on the basis of previous churches that underwent several incarnations, including a great fire in 1809 and 7.3 Richter earthquake
that demolished Xanthi at 1829.
The square adjacent to the church and the public buildings around, give the place a special beauty.
Bottom line: A must see site for everyone who visits this beautiful town!
