Rude is the key word. I came in looking around and asked the very polite employee if they had earrings with a specific cut but mistakenly said Brilliant cut even though I meant Radiant cut. She asked the owner and I showed him what I meant and he stated that this was an Emerald cut trying to show off and dismiss me even though it definitely wasn't. His last words were "OK. Good night" with a fake smile on his face. I left and returned a while later explaining that i made a mistake and what I meant was Radiant cut and it certainly was not an Emerald cut trying to explain the difference to him.His exact words were " You were previously keeping my employee occupied on August the 14 and we are busy ." I looked around as soon as he told me we're busy and there was literally no client at all and I just said "I believe you're free now.". Previously, I literally asked her 3 things and kept her occupied for like 2 minutes and there were other 2 clients who were just looking around as well. He continued "I studied in Belgium and I think I know the difference" and instead of admitting he also made a mistake about the Emerald cut he just told me that Radiant cut is also called square cut (?). I continued by saying that I just returned to admit the mistake and that I'm being polite even though he is extremely rude. He just kept dismissing me and saying "OK. Good night". I've been visiting Antiparos for the past 4 years and have purchased jewellery from this store multiple times. After experiencing owner's arrogance and pompous manner, I'll never buy anything from this store again. As I understand if you don't buy anything within 5 minutes after you enter the store you're not important to them and you'reconsidered a burden. The owner, obviously, doesn't know his job and can't distinguish a Radiant from an Emerald cut, even though he claims he studied in Antwerp and what's alarming is that if a client doesn't have any knowledge on jewellery can lead to unpleasant, after sale , experience. In any case, anyone can make mistakes but what's more important, is accepting them and gracefully handle any situation. Overall, my visit was disheartening and the owner should be taught some manners.
