★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Δύσκολο να περιγράψω την συνάντηση με τον Γιάννη οταν εντελώς ερασιτεχνικά και όντας σχεδόν αρχάριος αποφάσισα στα εξήντα μου να αγοράσω ένα καλό τρίχορδο μπουζούκι. Το αγοραστικό μέρος πήγε γρήγορα στην άκρη και η επίσκεψη στο εργαστήριο μετατράπηκε σε μια πολύ ενδιαφέρουσα φιλική συζήτηση για το τι εστί μουσικό ποιοτικό όργανο, για την θέση του στην ζωή και την ιδιόρρυθμη σχέση που επιβάλει στον άνθρωπο. Μια πολύ δημιουργική και πολύ γλυκιά εξάρτηση. Οι έγκυρες συμβουλές, η ζέστη ανθρώπινη ατμόσφαιρα, η κατανόηση και η προσοχή προς τον "πελάτη" (όρος λίγο πεζός που δεν αρμόζει ουσιαστικά αλλά δεν βρίσκω άλλον) και οι γνώσεις του Γιαννη που σαν πραγματικός δάσκαλος μου πρόσφερε γενναιόδωρα πανω από δύο ώρες (και ως διδάσκων ξέρω τι λέω) μετέτρεψαν την αγορά του μπουζουκιού σε εμπειρία ζωής. Υπερβολικά όλα αυτά??? Όχι. Έτσι έγιναν κι έτσι τα έζησα. Ένα μεγάλο ευχαριστώ λοιπόν.
It is difficult to describe the meeting with Giannis when I was completely amateur and almost a beginner I decided in my sixties to buy a good three-string bouzouki. The buying part quickly went away and the visit to the workshop turned into a very interesting friendly discussion about what a quality musical instrument is, its place in life and the peculiar relationship it imposes on people. A very creative and very sweet outfit. The valid advice, the warm human atmosphere, the understanding and attention to the "client" (a term a little pedestrian that does not really fit but I do not find another) and the knowledge of John who as a real teacher generously offered me over two hours (and as a teacher I know what I'm talking about) turned the bouzouki market into a life experience. Too much of all this ??? No. That's how they happened and that's how I lived them. So a big thank you.
