If you pass by Athens airport and have few spare hours, it's worth the visit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food was delicious, and the family that owns the restaurant were the most welcoming and warm people that we have met here in Greece. If you are staying near the airport and want a wonderful home cooked meal, get the Beat app (Athens Greece version of Uber) and take a short car ride here. The entire menu is in Greek, but don't worry the owner and his daughter spoke very good English. Good news since we only know 3 works in Greek. Everything from the fresh bread, small anchovie appetizer, house white wine, mussels, calamari and grilled sardines were excellent. The picture below shows only one mussel left when the freshly grilled anchovies arrived at the table. We even had 2 servings of almira, which is a local Greek vegetable served with lemon and vinegar on the side. Simply the best! Lastly, the halva dessert (freshly made every day by the owner) and the yogurt (Greek of course!)with honey made the entire dinner unforgettable. We will miss Greece but will always remember the Hot Corner restaurant.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you're lucky enough to work this into your travels through Athens, it will be the best meal of your trip. The restaurant is 12 minutes from the airport so no excuses people (use Uber to make it easy). Out of 20+ meals on my Italian and Greek vacation, this takes the cake.
As if the fresh fish and squid wasn't enough, the bread, house white and complimentary cinnamon raisin desert launched this meal into another stratosphere. The owner is a mensch. His daughter is a delight. I'd type more but I'm so deliriously satisfied after my meal that I'm really not sure what I'm writing. Stop reading and go now.
