I had the most wonderful stay. The Hotel Nafsika is a gem. The staff are so kind, helpful and full of character, no wonder people return year after year. Family owned and run, it is the sort of hotel I honestly thought no longer existed. It took me back to my visits to the Greek islands in the 70's and 80's before mass tourism.Theodora, the matriarch remains in charge of the kitchen (the food is delicious) and Speros, her son manages the hotel. The bar plays a mixture of Greek music and vintage hits. There is also a lovely pool. Agios Stephanos itself still has the charm of a small Greek community. There are some lovely walks and the sea turquoise and azure blue. What more could you possibly want?

This is exactly what it is says on the marketing handouts, web sites, etc: a family hotel. We first visited it way back in 1979 and have grown 'old' with the Nafsika and its family. It's great value, its people are fun to spend time with, its food's good. And there's more to this hotel than just 'nice location', 'nice bar', 'nice pool' etc. Yes, these facilities are indeed 'nice', but the key attraction for many guests is the reassuring atmosphere of the Nafsika: warm, friendly, reliable, constant. It's 'family', and leaves you just to get on and enjoy your holiday - that's why people keep going back.

This is my 3rd time here and love it. All staff are warm & welcoming & nothing is ever too much trouble. A new wine tasting afternoon run by the owner was on offer this year. An enjoyable afternoon given it full marks of 10 out of 10 & is a MUST, good value for money, (5-6 wines tasted) each with a small course of Greek food to complement each wine. I am not a wine expert nor a big wine drinker more a foodie person, the wine nor food disappointed. My two children also give it the thumbs up, with hours spent in the pool, using the pool dive sticks or inflatables. Ice cream & milkshake on tap from the bar thanks to mum & dad bank or a game of pool in the evening.

One of my favorite and memorable holidays to date, mostly due to the incredible staff, amazing views, quality rooms, and fantastic food and drink. I spent 2 weeks here with my family and wasn't disappointed. There's a bus that runs by the hotel taking you down to the west coast, which is great for day trips. If not, there's plenty of beach and walks minutes from the doorstep. Walk down the road into town in the evening if you want a drink or two, and meet a swarm of like minded tourists.

Quite an extensive menu and lovely food well cooked. I think we must have dined when a new waiter was having his first night. We had quite a few problems ordering, but I'm sure he'll get into his stride in time. All the food was well cooked and I must say this was my equal favourite taverna here. You can also satay here, so which I may well do next year. This part of town needs to be better supported as they have the better restaurants her in my opinion.

I can't speak for the accommodation* as I didn't stay in the hotel but, as for the restaurant, the service was godawful, the food was nice if said niceness was somewhat deterred by a strange choice of accompaniments. I didn't personally like the food I had but that was mainly down to what I ordered. The starter was nice but took an hour to arrive. Some random pieces of bread were thrown at us half an hour after we ordered. The facilities were about 8/10 and the staff was nice except one who was a bit rancorous. There was some rubbish live music playing about as loud as a herd of high elephants being spanked on the arse with a sledgehammer. Sort-of ruined it. *However, it did seem like the people staying did like it and it seemed like a lovely place.

This is definitely the best meal I had in Corfu. The service was amazing. I felt as if I was apart of their family. I didn't stay at the hotel on this visit, but will surely stay here on my return visit to corfu. Thank you!
