Hotel Rivari Santorini

Rivari hotel was the perfect quiet stay from the not so far busy little town of Fira. Rivair Hotel is located in the town of Kamari which has more relaxing vibes and less of a crowd. Ideal for a traveling family like us! Arriving to the hotel we even lost the desire to even leave the property. Rivari hotel had everything our family needed to unwind. Our family sun bathed by the grand pool most of our stay. The pool was perfect for young kids and us older folks. Having a shallow side for the kids and a deeper end for the adults to take a full plunge satisfied us both. The hotel provides a variety of floating devices and toys for all ages. If the pool didn't tire our daughter out, she would run around in the mini playground they have on site for younger kids. Whenever we were hungry we could just simply order food from the bar to eat. When we wanted to switch it up we just took a 7-10 minute walk to Kamair boardwalk with a wide array of bars, restaurant, and a 24 hour supermarket. Checking into our hotel the staff didn't seem very attentive. The staff didn't really effect our stay, but it does make a big difference when the staff ensures you that you have everything you need and there are no issues upon checking in & during your stay. Staff that don't do that bare minimum and go out their way can brighten up a guest stay! The only inconvenient thing about our stay was that there is only wifi in public areas. Meaning there is no wifi in your room, and only in the lobby, pool area, and playground area. In a way in forced our family to get off our phones and looked at each other, but I do also enjoy having to do work on my laptop in my own comfort place alone. Our family stayed in the superior double room along with a request of a toddler crib for our daughter. Our room was very comfortable and spacious for a family of 3. Our room was clean and came with a blow dryer, refrigerator, and free toiletries. The traditional Greek blue and white colors of our room gave us cool ocean vibes. We loved it! We also had a balcony outside our door, which was nice to sit outside and watch our daughter run around outside from afar. We recommend Rivari Hotel if you want a family-friendly environment on a budget stay. The location is quite convent and secluded, but close enough to get around the different parts of the island of Santorini. Lovely hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful. Nice and private. Pool not overlooked and gardens are beautiful. I was in one of the older style rooms but it was still nice and perfectly adequate. Particularly liked the private terrace outside. Room cleaned daily and linen changed. Only small grouse I have is to keep fridge going you have to keep card inserted and it's a problem when you go out. Especially if you want ice or have food in there.

Spent one night here before catching a ferry to Ios. Our room was on the ground floor and felt a bit dungeon like would have wanted to move room if we were staying any longer. However it was very clean and comfortable the usual basic Greek accommodation. we had a full size fridge sited in strange ante room. Overall the hotel seemed very nice. Breakfast was buffet style with the usual cheese, boiled eggs etc.we ate outside with lovely views. The staff were very welcoming and friendly.

Perfect location and well suited for our needs. The staffs were lovely, polite and always happy to help. Room was clean but very basic, we got a bottle of wine and lovely note from staff for my birthday. I feel the hotel is not being used to it’s full potential.

Perfect place, the room was big, well decorated with a cute balcony. The staff is so nice, always friendly and helpful. The swimming pool is amazing. I recommend this hotel !! I will come back ! Thank you very much ?

Simple hotel. Beautiful garden, rooms are divided in some sorts of bungalows. Everything is white and blue, which gives you a sense of calmness. The room itself was big enough, with a small terrace with garden view. Bathroom was small, the shower had no curtain which made quite a mess when you took a bath. Also the drain was clogged so the water took ages to go. Towels and sheets were changed every day. Free WIFI is provided, but only on the lounge area. We were close enough to the reception so we could get a weak signal from time to time. On the plus side, I guess this is it. On the bad side, I was most disturbed by the fact that there were ants everywhere in the room, including in bed (I woke up in the morning with ants everywhere, even under my pillow). There is no hot water early in the morning or late at night, because they use solar power. Breakfast was absolutely the same every morning. I stayed here for a week and started skipping breakfast after the third day. On the last day, our plane left in the evening, so you are provided with a room to keep your luggage and for 5 euro you can take a shower, this way you can take advantage of that last day of beach. The hotel is close to the beach (about 500m?) and there you can find restaurants, bars, ATMs, shops etc. I know it has a pool with a bar, but I was not interested in it, so i cannot offer any details about it. All in all, it's worth the price you pay, people are nice, quiet hotel.

The hotel is beautiful, close to the beach, 5 minutes walk. The rooms are clean and as in the pictures they are clean every day, which is commendable. Breakfast is monotonous, the only drawback, although there is always something to eat at the pool. The pool is great, small, and sweet enough to chill
