Best hotel on the island

Absolutely horrible please and people. Nightmare, Nightmare, Nightmare. The walls in the rooms are covacov withe smashed dead mosquitoes with blood spots around them it's so disgusting!!!!!!! The shower works only if no one else in the hotel is taking a shower otherwise every single person turning on the sink or shower makes your water extra hot or extra cold it is very funny to take shower there. The TV doesn't work but this doesn't matter because you have only 3 channel in Greek language. the beach is actually on 5 kilometres away from this place there is no private or local beach next to the hotel. On the back side of the hotel you can find a stairs which are bringing you to rocks next to the sea covered in cigarette butts Broken Glass condoms and whatever you can imagine The Wi-Fi isn't working or if it is working is no more than 20 minutes a day. The extra fancy breakfast includes scrambled and boiled eggs bread and tomatoes everything looks old and dirty and it is. After the first day I ate from the breakfast I never did this mistake again my stomach was hurting a lot. The only good looking thinking the hotel is the garden where you think you can find some relax never the less 10 minutes later you are covered with mosquitoes wasps, bees and all type of insects biting you everywhere because the owners doesn't willing to spray against them. In this hotel you can find only horrible service. Don't spend your money in this HORRIBLE PLACE.

Very calm and nice hotel. Looks way better than the photos posted. Clean with extremely helpful staff, endless view of the sea. Breakfast was really good as well. Parking is available on site.

Very nice rooms, garden and breakfast. The stuff is really nice and welcoming. There is a small beach just across the parking lot. It's gets nicer each year. We'll definitely return.

We're delighted to have chosen the Sun Rise Hotel for our stay on Ammouliani. The hotel is in a great location with easy access to the port, bars and restaurants. The bedroom was very comfortable, lovely beds, a balcony overlooking Mount Athos and like the rest of the hotel, spotlessly clean. Similarly the breakfast was first class with lots of choice, even though we visited in low season. But what makes this hotel special are the staff. Without exception they were an absolute joy, made you feel very welcome and couldn't do enough to help. And a special mention must be made for Katerina, she's an absolute angel and I'm sure every hotel in the world would like someone like her on their staff!

The hotel has a wonderful location, on top of a hill, facing Mount Athos, the garden was very nice and well taken care of, the staff was nice and the breakfast was really good. The room we had was quite spacious, with a modern touch, there was enogh storage space, the beds were very comfortable, as well as the pillows, spacious terrace, with a lovely view of the sea. Having said all this, a major inconvenience from our perspective was the bathroom, which was extremely small and the shower was extremely uncomfortable. We believe a decent size of the bathroom and a comfortable shower is very important, regardless the number of stars of the hotel. The cleaning in the bathroom is also to be improved, even though at a first sight everything seems to be decently done. Overall, we had a good experience. Well done again to the staff, very very polite and helpful!

We had a lovely stay at Sunrise. The staff was impossibly kind, and our room had a lovely view to the sea. The hotel has a garden where it is very pleasant to chill and have breakfast. Rooms are simple but comfortable. Breakfast is well served. We would come back and recommend!
