β β β β β We stayed here for one night during a layover and it was perfect. The location is great and the staff was really really nice. We got in late around 11pm and Natasha was there to greet us and take us to our room. The neighborhood was safe and we ended up walking to a restaurant right down the street for a late dinner/drink with a view of Acropolis. We checked out in the morning and they arranged us a taxi to the airport and made us coffees to take with us. When we come back to Athens we will either be staying here again and, if not, definitely stopping by to say hello!

β β β β β Thissio hotel is located in a stunning corner overlooking the Acropolis. The view is uninterrupted and has no buildings in front. I stayed with my wife and 7 year old daughter in the corner room with a fantastic balcony and view. The entrance to the Acropolis is just a 5min walk and the Acropolis museum just 15min. Amazing restaurants and nightlife are also around the corner. The staff was very friendly and helpful with any issues or questions.

For breakfast, you could choose to do so at the hotels cafe indoors, next to the walkway to the Acropolis or on the rooftop enjoying the view.

The room was spacious and very clean.

β β β β β My wife and I booked a trip to Greece and booked a bunch of different places to stay at as we were going to jump around to different places over a few weeks. Unfortunately we had to cancel our trip altogether because of the new level 4 travel advisory to Greece. We would have very happily rebooked all of the same exact places at a later date once it was safe to do so. Unfortunately out of every single hotel or Airbnb we had booked hotel thissio was the ONLY hotel that wouldn't wave their cancellation fee. Sorry, but if you don't waive your cancellation fees in this kind of a situation (global pandemic if you haven't heard) you're telling the entire world what you're all about and that's nothing but $$$. When we do go to Grease we'll make sure to book all the other places but definitely will not be going here. They've made their priorities clear.

β β β β β DON'T BOOK HERE! We booked here and looked forward to it. My wife and I had to cancel because because of the new delta variant of covid and the new level 4 travel advisory in Greece. We would have gladly rebooked at a later date since we are definitely going to Greece once it's safe to do so but this was the only hotel in our entire two week trip that wouldn't waive their cancellation fee. We had probably booked five or six different hotels in our entire trip and they all were completely accommodating in our need to cancel and waived any and all cancellation fees because of covid. I didn't ask what your cancellation policy was and I really don't care. I asked if you would make our experience with your establishment a positive or negative one and you clearly chose negative because you're greedy, money hungry, and don't value your customers above a few dollar bills. TERRIBLE

I arrived at Hotel Thissio on 4/30/2022 check out on 5/3/2022.
During my stay I was in a room with a balcony for the 30th & the 1st. The 2nd of May i was schedule to change rooms which slipped my mind, i think it was the hotel job to remind me of the change.
The Hotel took my unpacked personal belongings and moved them to another room with informing me.
I felt that was rude, vaulting and disrespectful.
I had already booked another 2 nights in advance before this incident happened for the 9th & 10th of May. I was so uncomfortable I booked at another hotel.

β β β β β We had a great time in Athens in december, we had a room with a beautiful view on the Acropolis. The location of the Hotel is great with a short walk to the Acropolis and the Thissio Metro station.
Clean room, good bed, good kitchen.
But most of all: friendly and welcoming staff.

β β β β β We stayed 2 nights in a family room for 4 people. The location is really beautiful, in the center of Athens, with an magnificent view of the Acropolis. Walk out the door and find many bars at the promenade to have some drinks. Most interesting sites are within walking distance. Rooms are air conditioned, beds reasonably comfortable. Room was a bit noisy at times, though. Breakfast tasted really good, but it is menu based instead of a buffet, and the options are limited.
