Da die griechische Regierung kurz zuvor wegen einer Virusinfektion alle Übernachtungsmöglichkeiten in Griechenland gesetzlich geschlossen hat, habe ich angefragt, ob ich die eigentlich bereits kostenpflichtige Stornierung günstiger haben kann. Das Hotel hat mir daraufhin die Stornierung kostenlos genehmigt. Sehr großzügig, vielen Dank. Here we had booked a few overnight stays for our return trip from our big Crete tour in spring 2020. Since the Greek government had recently closed all accommodation options in Greece due to a virus infection, I asked if I could have a cheaper cancellation. The hotel then approved the cancellation free of charge. Very generous, thank you very much.
H	Hagar Donners on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Supergastvrij en vriendelijk, de eigenaresse stelde meteen voor dat haar man ons met de auto helemaal kwam halen in Kato Zakros -op de kaart van de bookingwebsite lijkt hun hotel in Kato Zakros te liggen, maar het ligt hartje Zakros. Ook boden ze ons de dag erna kosteloos een lift terug naar Kato Zakros Super hospitable and friendly, the owner immediately suggested that her husband come and get us all the way by car in Kato Zakros - on the map of the booking website their hotel seems to be in Kato Zakros, but it is located in the heart of Zakros. They also offered us a free lift back to Kato Zakros the day after

La mia ragazza se ne voleva andare di corsa da quanto era sporco e disastrato. We were supposed to find accommodation for the last night, I found this at 26 € but when I called they told me the price was 30 € per night. My girlfriend wanted to run away from how dirty and wrecked it was.

D	Dimitris Pratikakis on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great value for money. Do not expect something fancy or luxurious but instead expect a clean bed, a nice view and a housewarming smile. Surely a renovation would help but for the price it is more than OK.
P	PANAGIOTA KATSIKA on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a very old fashioned hotel run by a local family that they try to keep it clean and help out. When we arrived we realised some issues with the water (no water from the kitchen tap (for technical reasons ?) and a water lick at the bathroom. Someone came and fixed it (this lasted 3-4 hours ). Some of the devices were worn out but still functional. The view is nice from the balcony but I'd rather sit inside during the sunny hours since it got really sunny and hot there , plus you could hear the pigeons standing at the balcony above you. I guess this is what you take for the price you pay. However the beach is close (10' drive) and is stunning . Visit the Minoan palace too !
M	Magdalena Łużniak-Piecha on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice owners, but the building is in bad shape, filthy bathrooms, bad smell of fungus, very basic breakfast (yogurt, jam and piece of not very fresh bread). The place has some soul but it needs general renovation.
