★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice ship to see. Old warship where you can see how and where sailors where living. Tight spaces with bunch of places you can hit your head. Showing you part of history. Recommend to everyone especially ticket to enter is rly cheap.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ WW2 Fletcher-class destroyer commissioned in 1942 in Boston, fought the Japanese fleet in the Pacific. Given to Greece in 1959. Renowned for Captain Papas’ revolt against the military dictatorship in 1973 and houses a small museum with relics and press from that time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This Musem is an excellent experience. Visitors may walk on the main deck, walk around the command bridge and enter into inner space of the Ship. Well preserved mechanics shows engineering from 1940s era and one can get a glimpse of what sailor's life was all about since then. Though interesting, the engineering of the Ship comes secondary to the history she had during the The Second World War sailing under US flag and later on when it was passed to Greece. The Ship and her crew played significant role in modern Greek history. Definitely worth exploring.
