★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Worth coming to the top of the hill to see the sweeping views of Kalamata when visiting. The Greeks too have their modern homes built with views considered. Up here you will find the K. olive groves and farmers tending the sheep, gardens of amazing flowers; the smell is fresh, the air is cooler. Smaller villages offer fresh farm produce and local meats at small butcher shops. As you continue a bit you'll come to the views of the SW coastal beaches. Peaceful.
