Πολιτιστικό δρώμενο της Άνω Σκοτίνας αποτελεί ο εορτασμός του Ιερού Ναού της Κοιμήσεως Θεοτόκου στις 15 Αυγούστου, όπου πλήθος κόσμου προσέρχεται στο λαϊκό πανηγύρι. Εντυπωσιακό είναι το αιωνόβιο πλατάνι της πλατείας του Παλαιού χωριού της Άνω Σκοτίνας. Εκεί μπορεί κανείς να επισκεφθεί τους Ιερούς Ναούς της Κοιμήσεως Θεοτόκου και Αγίου Αθανασίου και να δει το παλαιό Δημοτικό Σχολείο και να περιδιαβεί στα στενά δρομάκια και τα πέτρινα καλντερίμια. Very nice church. The cultural event of Ano Skotina is the celebration of the Holy Temple of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary on August 15, where many people come to the popular festival. Impressive is the age-old plane tree in the square of the Old Village of Ano Skotina. There one can visit the Holy Temples of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary and Agios Athanasios and see the old Primary School and wander the narrow streets and the stone cobbled streets.

Piateta din zona bisericii este micuta dar atragatoare. Merita vizitat locul cel putin pentru detaliile arhitecturale ale bisericii. The church is under renovation and cannot be visited inside. The exterior looks interesting, a building from ~ 1800. The square in the church area is small but attractive. It is worth visiting the place at least for the architectural details of the church.

Καιρός να φροντίσουν οι ιθύνοντες για την αποκατάσταση του ναού, αλλά και των δημόσιων χώρων του χωριού. Ένα γενικό συμμάζεμα των δρόμων, της πλατείας, αλλά και η τοποθέτηση κάδων σκουπιδιών, θα ήταν μόνο η αρχή για την έλξη επισκεπτών. Beautiful village Ano Skotina, very quiet and natural beauty. The temple is a relic of the good old times gone past the village. Time to take care of the leaders for the restoration of the church, but also the public spaces of the village. A general congestion of the streets, the square, and the placement of rubbish bins, would only be the beginning of attracting visitors.

Ένα υπέροχο μέρος να το περπατήσεις και να απολαύσεις όλη την θέα. Η δροσιά υπάρχει όλους τους μήνες, ακόμα και το καλοκαίρι χρειάζεται να έχεις καλού καλούμενα μακρυμάνικο. Upper Skotina, the old settlement of the area, is really in nature, you breathe pure oxygen .... A wonderful place to walk and enjoy the whole view. The coolness is there every month, even in summer you need to have good so-called long sleeves.
