★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Στην είσοδο του χωριού, όπως ερχόμστε από το Μούδρο, συναντάμε την εκκλησία αυτή μέσα σε μια περιοχή με πολλά δέντρα και πράσινο. Πρέπει να φτάσετε κοντά της για να τη δείτε, αφού είναι "χαμένη" μέσα στα δέντρα. Διαθέτει, όπως διαβάσαμε, όμορφο λιθόγλυπτο τέμπλο, αλλά ήταν κλειστή και δεν είδαμε το εσωτερικό της. H περιοχή γύρω της είναι γεμάτη αξιόλογα αξιοθέατα. Δεξιά της συναντάμε την πανέμορφη Παπαϊωάννειο Σχολή (1906) και ακριβώς απέναντι το παλιό πετρόχτιστο Δημοτικό Σχολείο (1936) που δε λειτουργεί πλέον. Λίγο δεξιότερα ακόμη, υπάρχει μια μεγάλη σκιερή πλατεία, γεμάτη δείγματα της λαϊκής παράδοσης της Λήμνου. Παραδοσιακές κρήνες, ανοιχτά πετρόχτιστα πλυσταριά για τη μπουγάδα, με μικρές ρηχές αλλά και μεγάλες βαθιές γούβες για όλα τα μεγέθη ρούχων και χαλιών, όπως επίσης και λαξευμένα στο έδαφος πιθάρια, παραδοσιακή μέθοδος για αποθήκευση και ωρίμανση κρασιού, λαδιού και σιτηρών. Τέλος, από την πλατεία αυτή ξεκινά και ο δρόμος που ανεβαίνει στο λόφο βόρεια του χωριού, με τέσσερις γοητευτικούς ανεμόμυλους και θαυμάσια θέα όλου του Ρωμανού.
 At the entrance of the village, as we come from Moudros, we meet this church in an area with many trees and greenery. You have to get close to her to see her, since she is "lost" in the trees. It has, as we read, a beautiful stone-carved iconostasis, but it was closed and we did not see its interior. The area around it is full of remarkable sights. To its right we find the beautiful Papaioannio School (1906) and just opposite the old stone-built Primary School (1936) which is no longer operating. A little further to the right, there is a large shady square, full of samples of the folk tradition of Lemnos. Traditional fountains, open stone laundry for laundry, with small shallow but also large deep holes for all sizes of clothes and carpets, as well as jars carved into the ground, a traditional method for storing and maturing wine, oil and grains. Finally, from this square begins the road that goes up the hill north of the village, with four charming windmills and wonderful views of the whole Romanos.
