★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ο σύγχρονος ενοριακός Ιερός Ναός του Αγίου Δημητρίου Νεαπόλεως Αγρινίου είναι κτισμένος στο σημείο που υπάρχει παλαιότερος ναός,ο οποίος πυρπολήθηκε από τους κατακτητές Γερμανούς στις 17 Ιουλίου 1944.
Ο νέος Ναός θεμελιώθηκε το 1974 από τον Μητροπολίτη Αιτ/νίας ΘΕΟΚΛΗΤΟ και τον Εφημέριο π.Ιωάννη Φ.Μάλαινο και τη συνδρομή των κατοίκων της κοινότητος Νεαπόλεως.
Μετά την αποπεράτωση ενεκαινίσθη από τον Μητροπολίτη Αιτωλίας και Ακαρνανίας κ.ΚΟΣΜΑ την 1 Ιουνίου 2008. Αγιογραφήθηκε από τον σπουδαίο Αγιογράφο αείμνηστο Κων/νο Αντωνάκη από τον Πειραιά Αττικής κατά τα έτη 1996 έως 2009.
Υπάρχει επίσης υπόγειο παρεκκλήσιο προς τιμήν του Αγίου Νεκταριου.
The modern parish church of Agios Dimitrios of Naples, Agrinio, is built on the site of an older church, which was set on fire by the German occupiers on July 17, 1944.
The new church was founded in 1974 by the Metropolitan of Ait / nia THEOKLITOS and the Pastor Fr. Ioannis F. Malainos and the assistance of the inhabitants of the community of Neapolis.
After its completion, it was renovated by the Metropolitan of Aetolia and Acarnania, Mr. KOSMA, on June 1, 2008. It was painted by the great Hagiographer, the late Konstantinos Antonakis from Piraeus, Attica, during the years 1996 to 2009.
There is also an underground chapel in honor of Saint Nektarios.
