Ο Ιερός Ναός τών Αγίων Δώδεκα Αποστόλων ( Ροτόντα) στό Θέρμον Αιτωλίας Τ Κ 300 08, θεμελιώθηκε τό Σάββατο 25.3.1995, σέ οικόπεδο που παραχώρησε ευγενικά στόν Ορθόδοξο Φιλανθρωπικό Σύλλογο "Μικρά Ζύμη", όστις τό ζήτησε , ο Νομάρχης Αιτωλοακαρνανίας, μέ σύμφωνη πρότασι τού Δασαρχείου Αγρινίου. ( Μετά τήν παραχώρησι συμφώνησε καί ο Δήμος Θέρμου).

Ευρίσκεται νοτιοανατολικά τού Θέρμου στόν λόφο τού "Σταυρού", όστις υψώνεται μεταξύ τών συνοικιών "Νέου Κόσμου" καί "Κολωνακίου ή Περκιωταλώνων.

Τόν θεμέλιο λίθο έθεσε ο Ιερομόναχος Θεόκλητος ΡΑΠΤΗΣ, εφημέριος τού ενοριακού Ιερού Ναού Κοιμήσεως Θεοτόκου Θέρμου, παρουσία τού Προέδρου τού Συλλόγου "Μικρά Ζύμη" αστυφύλακος Κωνσταντίνου Β. ΤΡΙΑΝΤΑΦΥΛΛΟΥ, τών λοιπών μελών τού εν λόγω Συλλόγου, καί μερικών ενοριτών.

Ανηγέρθη μέ χρήματα που συγκέντρωσε διά εράνων ο πρόεδρος τού εν λόγω Συλλόγου σ'όλη τήν Επικράτεια καί όχι μόνο, καί επί πλέον από τήν πώλησι τών βιβλίων τού ανωτέρω προέδρου.

Τά θυρανοίξια τέλεσε ο πατήρ Θεόκλητος ΡΑΠΤΗΣ τήν Κυριακή 29.6.1997, όστις τέλεσε αμέσως μετά, τόν πρώτο Εσπερινό καί τήν επομένη τήν πρώτη θεία Λειτουργία.

Τά εγκαίνια τέλεσε τό Σάββατο 29.9.2007, ο σεπτός καί σεμνός ποιμενάρχης μας, ο σεβασμιώτατος Μητροπολίτης Αιτωλίας καί Ακαρνανίας, Επίσκοπος Κοσμάς.
Στά εγκαίνια έλαβον μέρος:
1)Ο Ιερομόναχος Γρηγόριος, Γέροντας τού Ιερού Κουτλουμουσιανού Κελλίου Άγιος Ιωάννης ο Θεολόγος.
2) Ο Ιερομόναχος, Κωνσταντίνος Γιακουμάκης (νύν Μητροπολίτης Μεγάρων).
3) Ο Ιερομόναχος Αντώνιος Βαζούρας.
4) Ο Ιερομόναχος Θεόκλητος Ράπτης.
5) Ο Ιερομόναχος Επιφάνιος Καραγεώργος (νύν Πρωτοσύγκελλος τής Ιεράς Μητροπόλεως Αιτωλίας καί Ακαρνανίας).
6) Ο Ιερομόναχος Αναστάσιος Καντάνης.
7) Ο Πρεσβύτερος Ιωάννης Αυγέρης,εκ τής Ιεράς Μητροπόλεως Φθιώτιδος.
8) Ο Πρεσβύτερος Λάμπρος Στεργίου.
9) Ο Πρεσβύτερος Γεώργιος Λάτσης εκ τής Ιεράς Μητροπόλεως Σπάρτης.
10) Ο Πρεσβύτερος Κωνσταντίνος Αθανασόπουλος.

12) Ο Πρεσβύτερος Ιωάννης Παπαντώνης, εκ τής Ιεράς Μητροπόλεως Ελασσώνος.

Έψαλλαν, δεξιά τά πνευματικοπαίδια τού ανωτέρω πατρός Γρηγορίου, καί αριστερά οι ιεροψάλτες τού Θέρμου καί όχι μόνο.
Τών Ιερών Ακολουθιών, κανονάρχησε ο εκ τής Κουτλουμουσιανής Ιεράς Σκήτης τού Αγίου Παντελεήμονος, μοναχός Παλλάδιος.
Πρό τού τέλους τής θείας Λειτουργίας, ο Ιερομόναχος Γρηγόριος μέ τίς ευχές τού Σεβασμιωτάτου, είπε λόγον αγαθόν.
Παρέστησαν πλήθος κόσμου.
Μετά τό πέρας τής θείας Λειτουργίας, ο πρόεδρος τού Συλλόγου παρέθεσε γεύμα σέ 120 άτομα στό εστιατόριο τού ξενοδοχείου "Αλθαία", όπου μίλησε. ( Ευχαρίστησε όλους όσους βοήθησαν νά ανεγερθή ο Ιερός Ναός,αλλά καί τούς παρόντες. Επί πλέον ανέφερε ότι γιά τήν ανέγερσι καταναλώθηκαν 300.000 €).
Πρό τού τέλους τού γεύματος, ο Δήμαρχος Θέρμου είπε, ότι τά έξοδα τού γεύματος θά τά πληρώση, όπερ καί έκαμε, ο Δήμος Θέρμου.

Ο Ιερός Ναός Αγίων Δώδεκα Αποστόλων ανείκει στόν ενοριακό Ιερό Ναό Κοιμήσεως Θεοτόκου Θέρμου.

The Holy Temple of the Holy Twelve Apostles (Rotonda) in Thermon, Aetolia, TK 300 08, was founded on Saturday, March 25, 1995, on a plot of land kindly donated to the Orthodox Charitable Association "Mikra Zymi", as requested by the Prefect, the Prefect of the Forest Office of Agrinio. (After the concession, the Municipality of Thermo also agreed).

It is located southeast of Thermos on the hill of "Stavros", which rises between the districts of "Neos Kosmos" and "Kolonaki or Perkiotalonas.

The foundation stone was laid by the Hieromonk Theoklitos RAPTIS, pastor of the parish Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary Thermos, in the presence of the President of the Association "Mikra Zymi", Constable Konstantinos V. TRIANTAFYLLOU, among the other members.

It was erected with money raised through fundraisers by the president of the Association in question throughout the country and beyond, in addition to the sale of the books of the above president.

The opening of the doors was performed by Father Theoklitos RAPTIS on Sunday, June 29, 1997, as he performed immediately after, the first Vespers and the next the first Divine Liturgy.

The inauguration was performed on Saturday, September 29, 2007, by our seventh and humble pastor, the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Aetolia and Acarnania, Bishop Kosmas.
The inauguration was attended by:
1) The Hieromonk Gregory, Elder of the Holy Koutloumousian Cell, Saint John the Theologian.
2) The Hieromonk, Konstantinos Giakoumakis (now Metropolitan of Megara).
3) The Hieromonk Antonios Vazouras.
4) The Hieromonk Theoklitos Raptis.
5) The Hieromonk Epiphanius Karageorgos (now Protosyggellos of the Holy Metropolis of Aetolia and Acarnania).
6) The Hieromonk Anastasios Kantanis.
7) The Elder Ioannis Avgeris, from the Holy Metropolis of Fthiotida.
8) The Elder Lambros Stergiou.
9) The Elder George Latsis from the Holy Metropolis of Sparta.
10) The Elder Konstantinos Athanasopoulos.
11) The Elder Basil Lambos.
12) The Elder Ioannis Papantonis, from the Holy Metropolis of Elassonos.
13) The Elder Konstantinos Katsimardos.
14) The Elder Panagiotis Heimonas.
15) The Deacon Joseph Zografos (now Professor of the Holy Monastery of the Assumption of the Virgin Myrtia of Aetolia).
16) The Deacon Makarios Antonopoulos (now Hieromonk).

On the right sang the spiritual children of the above father Gregory, and on the left the cantors of Thermos and beyond.
Of the Holy Sequences, the monk Palladios from the Koutloumousian Holy Hermitage of Agios Panteleimon officiated.
Before the end of the Divine Liturgy, the Hieromonk Gregory, with the wishes of His Holiness, said a good word.
Crowds of people attended.
After the Divine Liturgy, the president of the Association hosted a meal for 120 people in the restaurant of the hotel "Althea", where he spoke. (He thanked all those who helped the construction of the Holy Temple, but also those present. In addition, he mentioned that € 300,000 was spent for the construction).
Before the end of the meal, the Mayor of Thermo said that the expenses of the meal will be paid by the Municipality of Thermo.
