Church with old calendar or better with regular calendar. What we have officially in Greece has confused us and we celebrate Christmas with the Catholics and Easter with the regular calendar like all the Orthodox countries Russia, Serbia, Ukraine, etc. Panagia Myrtidiotissa is a beacon in the darkness of the time

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Small Church of the Virgin of the Myrtles (Παναγία η Μυρτιδιώτισσα) named after an icon of the Virgin allegedly found on the island of Kythira, probably in the 14th century. Called “Μυρτιδιώτισσα” because according to tradition the icon was found by a shepherd in a place where myrtles grew in abundance. The icon is in the Monastery of Myrtidion on Kythira.
