Ilio Mare Beach Hotel - Thassos - Dassilio

The stuff especially Ilias and Calliope were so nice to us and showed us the whole hotel and told us about the best spots on Thassos. They were very friendly and the hotel was all in all very beautiful and we Never had a Problem with the Wifi. Greetings from germany ✌?

To be fair I can’t say anything about the hotel cause as a “local” I didn’t stay there, just the beach bar. What I liked very much was that they have a really nice choice of cocktails, also signature cocktails. What I don’t like is that the service, which for a 5* hotel should be higher, was poor. I went to this beach bar two times, the first time it took 10 minutes until the waiter showed up which was okay, also he was friendly, but the second time we waited for 45 (!) minutes and there was simply NO staff at all on the beach. Once a waiter came to collect some stuff but he didn’t even look around. After this we left and I think I’m not gonna go there again, sorry.

Great stuff - no matter if with kids or alone, everybody is welcome, all stuff is always super nice & super helpufull. Also - great beach, very clean, nice food, super location, in general really family friendly. P.S. to the owners: no matter how much you are paying Ilias (waiter) & Ilias (receptionist) - you are not paying them enough. ? See you again next year!

The best example of a 5 stars hotel who looks and it is as a 3 stars one. Friendly staff although, nice breakfast. The ground floor rooms have some issues with the ants, in balcony in the evening mosquitoes give you a headache. Parking area is a dusty one.

The hotel was very nice. The room clean. The mini bar had only water. Everything was working fine in the room. The food was very good every time. The hotel beach very nice organised. You could use caiac for free.

The staff is very nice, the rooms are clean. The food is very delicious as well. There are towels you can get for your stay at the beach or by the pool. The pool is very big and there are many beach beds by the beach. The view of the pool is beautiful.

I would rate this hotel as 4/5. Good things: location is great, beach and pool are superb. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room cleaning was daily, the worker did not take the tip we left at the table. Food was also good for any taste, although only 2 machines making coffee and tea felt like it was not enough for peak hours in the morning. OK things: Standard room is very small, there were a lot of ants at the ground floor, but they did not bother us much. Drinks were extra in the dinner and the price of 1l of still water was 2.5 Euro, literally most expensive we saw compared to dozen other restaurants on the island. There is a hidden children playground full of snake-deferring cans. Never saw a child or a snake on a playground during a week in hotel. Bad things: A/C looked like two decades old and did not work. Furniture, room decorations, some other things here and there were also showing its old age. One of metal stars at the front of hotel was broken for our whole stay of 7 days, which summarizes it very well - it is a 5 star hotel, but 20% broken. I would recommend staying at this hotel if the price is good.

I'm still here when I write these lines, so everything is fresh. For the price paid, I consider the conditions excellent: private beach with fine sand, free sunbeds and towels without the obligation to consume anything, you can even bring anything with you, and the entrance to the sea has very few stones, the rest being fine sand; diversified food and always enough; 5 star cleaning; beautiful and modern room (but where the hair dryer needs to be renewed), where towels are changed and cleaned daily; Very friendly staff and English speaking ... In short: a wonderful stay for which I thank the hosts!
