★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Everytime I need to book a ticket I need to get a Greek local to call, because as soon as they see that my telephone number isn't Greek, they directly don't pick up. And if they do, after asking them if they speak English they just say "NO" and directly hung up on you!
I know enough Greek to say what ticket I want to book. However, even if I would tell them what I need in Greek , they would just hung up the phone as they realize I can't propperly speak the language. They just don't want to do the effort and try to help.
Honestly, there are many people looking forward to get a job in Greece. If the current stuff is unable or don't want to do their job, send them home and let someone else get it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Poor service, travelled from Ioannina to Trikala in a very old bus, which shouldn't be on such a long trip. Crossed the road in "Katara" (meaning "curse" - you can easily imagine the reason why if you ever get there) , which I hadn't crossed since the early 90s. Bus was struggling all the way. I arrived in Trikala with over 1,5 hour delay which caused me many problems...it took 4 hours while it was supposed to last 2,5 h. In addition, I had to buy online a more expensive ticket because they don't sell tickets for Trikala online, so instead I bought a ticket for Larisa which is a further destination and I had to pay more...
On the pros, I must admit that our driver was an excellent professional, kind and helpful.
Overall conclusion: good staff, bad administration.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Typical KTEL with the chaos and bustling that one can expect. Great to see that just across and a bit further down the road, a COVID-19 rapid testing centre is in hand if needed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There's one ticket person who is a big, fat man and is very impatient with everything and don't want to answer anything and tell tickets. He only works for local people. He hates travellers. He wants you to use expensive taxi. He doesn't want you to use local transport. He hung up on me every time many many times once I spoke English. This station never publishes timetable. You can only ask. They don't necessarily want to answer. Some other staff were trying to be helpful. Taxis are extremely expensive. Buses to Meteora can be full on the day. No way to get tickets online or elsewhere, but with this big, fat man who doesn't want to work for you.
I waited nearly a week for the only Tuesday bus to Papigko. I especially called beforehand to check. He finally answered my question and told me Tuesday at 2pm. When I arrived on Monday to buy ticket. He said no. Next Tuesday. Every other Tuesday. It's the most painful bus station on earth, not because of Greece, because of this only ticket person. No shifts. No other members of staff takes his work. June 2021

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They don't reply to their emails and don't do COVID vaccine checks or even have their busses clean.... Furthermore , the bus schedules are greatly reduced and they make everyone's life hard when there is no need to.....

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have never seen people so unfriendly and unwilling to help. Plainly rude people. But this is the only option to move around Greece so nothing to do about it. Not only this station, but this bus company in particular. And it's overpriced for the service they offer. Basically it makes me feel like never coming to Greece again

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mediocre quality of services, average prices slow means of transportation in today's highway roads (6 hours to Athens 420 km), still the most reliable and cheaper way of transportation in Ioannina since airlines are generally more expensive, routes are scarce, and you need about 3 hours time in total to reach Athens.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I booked tickets and they never sent me a confirmation email. Maybe if they did, I would have seen that I made a mistake, and I would be able to correct it in time, instead of having to pay double since the gentleman on the phone told me "nothing can be done". I don't recommend, but there is no choice, since it's a monopoly.
