Ipsario Garden Hotel - Skala Potamia

An amazing place that has everything I could need. The rooms are of high standard with a good view of the sea. The pool is amazing and the breakfast was one of the best I have ever had in a hotel. The staff is very friendly and does that little extra to make you feel welcome. What more? a, yes the beds! They are really comfortable.

This location is not on the beach but is one of the best in Thassos. It is in the midle of the nature, very relaxing and quiet. It is a small hotel with 9 rooms, very nice pool, outside bar and restaurant, nice gardens filled with olive trees. The people (staff) are extremely nice, the owners are from Sweden, and other members of the staff from UK. Sofia, the owner is a very very good cook. The rooms are nice and the food is excelent. I recomand.

This place has the most fantastic garden & lounge area with everything it takes: you can take a nap in a hammock, play with the kids or go for a swim in the pool, have a refreshing drink from the bar, or have a walk to just stare at the really old olive trees :) All the staff is especially nice&friendly and the hosts (Sofia and Glenn) are very hospitable. The whole atmosphere is intimate and relaxing (I loved the live classical music Tuesday!) and the rooms are very clean and well equiped. The breakfast is oh so very very delicious! Make sure you try the homemade desserts&icecream and ask Sofia to cook dinner for you (don't bother looking for other taverns or places to eat on the island!) she is the best cook and you will have the best meals here!

It is awesome! It is 3 min drive away from the beach, secluded, with a very nice pool, garden and great food. It's quiet, full of old olive trees and the service is just wonderful. It is especially nice if you have kids. They have a lot of room to play and there's no risk that they will go somewhere dangerous. Will definitely be going back.

We loved everything about the place - the hotel, tastefully decorated, with amazing views from the balconies; its location - in the outskirts of the mountain, away from the tourist crowds but yet close to the beach; the pool and the beautiful olive garden. The owners and the entire staff were absolutely great! Great food - a rich breakfast with good variety of tasty food for everybody's taste and an excellent cuisine for lunch and dinner - we highly recommend the fish specialties we enjoyed every day. Thank you Sofia and Glen for making us feel at home - we are looking forward to coming back again!

Quiet. Peaceful. Relaxed. Spacious rooms fitted with good quality items. Modern bathrooms. Large pool with perfectly clear water. Breakfast and meals home made. Cake hot from the oven, and espresso made in old style espresso machine. All located in a century old olive trees garden. From the top balconies you can clearly see then Golden Beach and if course the Egeean Sea. Soft, timely and lovely service by the owners and family. Overall a great place to spend the summer.

Positive: What a stay! A place you could only dream of... The beautiful garden with all the old olive trees!!! Such a powerful place and at the same time a place you feel tranquillized in every way; our lovely host; the peaceful music; perfectly clean and styled room; a lot of private space around the swimmingpool; the see view....and I have not even mentioned the breakfast!!! WoW, that was spectaculair!!! Overwhelming it was!! Every day she surprised us with all the delicous food! Best part of the day if you asked me! Marc and I definitely are comming back to Ipsario. A little piece of heaven on earth ❤️.

We managed to book our stay at Ipsario Garden Hotel on a whim, determined to see Greece even in troubled times such as these. The pictures and reviews were promising enough and we expected a wonderful week in the shade of the olive trees. Our expectations were exceeded, to say the least. The hotel is in a remote location, but not too far away from the main roads, with easy and well signaled access. The rooms are huge, with all the necessary facilities, furnished in a modern style and well-kept. The view from the balcony is astounding, with an overview of the garden, the village and the sea beyond. We spent quite a lot of time in and by the pool, which is amazing and very clean. But the biggest props go to the owners, Sofia and Glenn, who managed to make our stay the most enjoyable experience we could hope for. Their kindness, generosity and constant attention to detail, going out of their way to help us, were unmatched. The breakfast they provided each morning was fresh, with locally sourced produce and always varied, delicious without fail. They had a cookout on their brand new smoker one day, which will forever be etched into our memories due to the marvelous cooking. Sofia can also make one mean mohito! Needless to say, we look forward to coming back to Ipsario year after year. I don't see this vacation as just another week off work. I feel like I met friends I didn't know I had, with whom I had interesting, meaningful and engaging conversations. It really doesn't get more authentic and personal than what we had here.
