Irene Apartments - Main Street

Very enjoyable stay. Apartments were located near several shops and the beach. We stayed for 4 nights at the start of April 2018 and the weather maxed out at about 21 degrees. The only criticism I have is the room was quite cold during the night and the beds only had a thin blanket on them. I'm sure this would have been resolved if I spoke to the officials but I was only a minor complaint. Please be aware that the reception isn't always manned and you may be left a message to phone someone upon your arrival. Special mention goes to the lovely lady who works in the shop next door. She was lovely.

The restaurant at the pool was great! The dinner tasted good and enough variety at menucard. Kindly man behind the bar, called Gregory and a excellent waitress called Grace who had the ability to put me a smile on my face everytime i came there. So i came to the restaurant almost every day of my holiday with joy. Great service and a great holiday!?

Irene apartments is advertised as "family friendly" it's all lies. We spent 11 nights here. We were a group of 9, consisting of two families, 4 adults and 5 children ageing from 4-15. The apartments are extremely basic. When I asked for more cutlery for my family to use in the apartment I was told the local shop sells plastic cutlery. The cleaners were really unfriendly. Knocking at the door at 8am everyother day to change our bedding. We are on holiday, we don't want to be up at 8am!! On one occasion we refused to answer the door to the cleaner. she let herself into the apartment. We refused to get out of bed and asked her to come back later, she dumped the sheets and towels on the table and slammed the door on the way out. The pool is ok, but the guy who mans it is extremely aggressive and hostile. The kids were told not to splash, the inflatables were removed from the pool so our two families couldn't play. The last day he shouted at my son and partner for playing with a ball in the pool. He got close to my partner shouting in his face calling us all f***ing pigs and gypsys. When my friend asked why the children were unable to play in the pool the man became aggressive to her too also shouting in her face and swearing. This all happened in front of all our children and the rest of the people around the pool. The man at the pool became so aggressive he offered my partner to go outside!!! He got very close to my partners face so my partner pushed the man away causing him to loose his footing and falling into the pool. Non of the facilities are available or at least they weren't for us. All in all, our experience here was shocking!!! If you have children who want to swim, splash and have fun give this place a wide birth!!!!

Spacious, clean rooms. The pool area is great to hang out and grab a bite. Personnel is friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

The apartment was located on the ground floor. It was very simple and clean. The relationship between quality and price is excellent considering the location and the period ... The main problem was the lack of mosquito nets in the windows...... so our staying for most of time was a battle against those animals disturbing our sleeping and staying. TV was not working and to use the air conditioner they asked us an extra fee.

Wonderful place, apartments clean with lovely big balconies, very chilled vibe, absolutely brilliant service great food and drink at the pool, highly recommended

In terms of cleanliness, everything is fine. It's very cold in the room, you can feel damp. Check out was supposed to be 12 o'clock, changed to 11 o'clock. No updates on changes on the broker's website regarding check-out time or information related to air conditioning charges per night, which turned out to be higher. service at the bar and pool ok, the cleaners are throwing the rooms away because they want to clean up. In my opinion, the boss is not a very polite person. at some point I felt as if she was imposing on us that the air conditioning should be turned on at 22 degrees (because it's healthier for us) and not at 32 as we set it up to warm up in the room. Wifi works differently, connects once and doesn't work. I recommend and do not recommend - it depends what you are looking for :) Pool is good, food is normal except for the prawns (not recommended)

Positive sides: apartments are located in a central part of Agios Gordios . They are close to the beach, shops, restaurants, a bus stop. The apartments are clean , have a good standard for 3 stars apartments. Ladies who cleans apartments are friendly and helpful. Agios Gordios is wonderful place to stay for holidays. Is beautiful, has very good beach and residents are very helpful and friendly . It is very easy to organise the trips to other parts of beautiful Corfu , mainland Greece or Albania. Negative sides: problem with communication. I sent 2 messages before my arrival I didn’t get reply at all . It took me 2 days to contact the apartments management by the telephone. Nobody has answered landlines calls. I started to think that these apartments are some scams. You can hear a lot about that sort of scams those days. You are paying for some holiday place , but it doesn’t exist. On the end some gentlemen answered the mobile phone . I arrived after 10pm it was pretty scary, because everything was shut. I didn’t get any instruction before my arrival from where I can take the keys. I called again to the mobile phone number which I knew already. I got instructions that everything is written on the reception window. So there was the message that the key is in the door and my door number. But, I think I should be informed in some separate email about how things works. As normally people don’t read what is written on the windows. Rather expect direct information in a form of email or call. The next day I went to the reception to check in , but nobody was there. The next day some lady came and told me I should checked in . I told her what happened yesterday, but she told me opening time is between 10-12 am and again everything is written on the window, and again I think I should be informed about how thinks works by emails or by calls. Another problem it was with warmth in the apartment. When I came it was still pretty chilly during the night and it was just one blanket per person in the room. For us from northern part of Europe is too cold to sleep under just one blanket. I was told I can have heating , but I have to pay for it 6 euros per day. So I think is not fair. Never in my hotel’s experience I have to pay for heating. And if I could have one blanket more the heating should be not necessary at all.
