Beautiful, sparkling clean home! Perfect choice for couples and families!

A very disappointed place for me and my family, we were 4. 1. There are a lot of ants on the kitchen. Also we asked our neighbors, they said the same. Ants already built their own "home" there and it's almost impossible to ask them to leave the place. We found them outside in the garden as well as in the bathroom. For me it's disgusting, because i was afraid to take any fork or spoon after night, when nobody disturb them and they can "walk" everywhere. 2. There is no any kind of privacy in the garden, your neighbors are just 1-2 metres in front of your dinning table. 3. Mosquitos in this part of a town is incredibly aggressive, we were all bite after 2 days of our stay. 4. Apartment is very hot, we were in the end of June and temperature in the apartment was 29-30 degrees, so, no chance do not use aircon. Bedroom is very nice, but aircon blowing directly on the bed - big chance to become sick after a few nights. 5. Kitchen is poor equipped, comparing to the other apartments in different place of Crete. And the space for preparing any food is very very small. This apartment is max for 2-3 persons. 6. Yes, furniture and everything is pretty new, but I didn't notice it much because of other negative factors. BTW, shadow curtain works only for bedroom, in the living room you will not find it and you'll wake up with sun. 6. The host - coordinator of our apartment was out of the country and her mom didn't make anything to provide us with needed support, she doesn't speak English at all. After I told I don't like the place, the host didn't propose us any compensation, she asked us to leave the apartment within 2 days!!!!! The other thing, which I faced a first time in my life - they took my passport for 2 days and were going to keep it till the end of our accomodation period, crazy!!! I was arguing a lot, trying to get my passport back. Their business not a hotel business, you'll not be able to pay with credit card and you'll not get any documents. BUT!!!They think they can take your passport. I was really shocked. So, thx God we found a very good place with sea view, it was larger, with 2 balconies, without ants and for the same price. And host gave us the keys even without prepayment and he did not even take a look at my passport. So, shame to Iro Boutique Homes!!!

This is the second time we are staying, this time for a whole month. The home is very convenient and and perfect for digital nomads like us! Cleanliness and hospitality are a plus! We' ll be back!

I stay in this house when I tarvel to Chania. It feels like home for me. I appreciate many things with that place. The closeness to the beach (100m) so I can easily walk down and take a swim whenever I feel for it. The house is in the center but still a bit aside, 10 minutes walk from the city center with all the shopping and restaurants. The host is very friendly and caring. As travelling alone, I appreciate to know I have someone to ask things from and if I need any help. Freshly renovated house makes it even cozy to stay indoors when it´s raining or you just need to relax. The house is enjoyable to be in! Door to door there is local bacery. I love to be awaken by the smell of the bread in the mornings… and then go and get some fresh local pastery for breakfast. Spinach pies are so good! I´m always looking forward to my next trip to Chania. Much because of that house.

The apartment is very cute and had everything that we needed. The location is perfect, very close by the beach with lots of restaurants with high quality and cheap fresh sea food. This area is full of locals and you don't feel to be treated as a tourist as happens by the old harbour. The harbour is by 10' walk following the promenade. Stella was really helpful, kind and nice, really friendly. Felt as home all the time. Bus station is 15' walk. If I go back to Crete I will stay same place it's just perfect place location and host.

My family and I went to Chania for Christmas and stayed at this home. It was one of the best decisions we made during our trip. It had such and quaint, homey feel to it and the owner accommodated all 5 of us by bringing us a few portable beds, which turned out to be very comfortable. The living room has a tv, with Netflix, if you want to sign into your account, the fridge was big enough for any left overs we brought home, including boxes of the Greek pastries my wife fell in love with. The patio was lined with beautiful trees and flowers and the washer, which was out there as well, worked great. The shower was probably my favorite part though. I'm 6" tall and husky, so being able to stand up straight, with plenty of room around me, and great water pressure, just made me melt. We've been to Greece many times, and this was easily the best shower I've been in. Because we were 5 people, we had to rent a full size car, but even parking was great. There was always space in front of the bakery around the corner and we didn't have to drive that much seeing as we were about 10 minutes walking distance from downtown and the Chania harbor, and only 5 minutes from the beaches of Nea Hora, which is lined with about a dozen Cretan tavernas. Lastly, Stella, the owner, was very welcoming and took care of every need we had. We'll definitely be staying there again on our next trip.
