I’ve stayed in several hotels all over the world throughout my life. But Iro Suits in the Greek island of Àndros is my absolute favourite stay. It’s owned by Iro and her husband. Together with there sweet daughter Ana, they go out of their way to give their guests the best service. When we arrived late at night they had upgraded us free of charge from a room to an entire two bedroom apartment. Every morning there was a buffet containing homemade jam and other delicious food. They come to the table to offer making you dishes that aren’t available in the buffet: omelette with tomato, green peppers, cheese, ham, bacon and onion, French toast and pancakes, soft boiled eggs and other food. And then they make them in the outside kitchen on the balcony by your table. Also offering to make different types of coffee. You have your breakfast on the balcony with a view of the mountains and a distant view to the sea. They are so kind and sweet and helpful. When we checked out the daughter was alone at the resort and she offered to get up and make breakfast before breakfast was usually served. Without us asking for it she offered to give us a ride in her car to the bus station which she did. The cleaning was flawless and the pool is absolutely divine placed with a view to the mountains. The resort is placed about a 10-15 minutes walk from the center of the charming main town of Àndros, called Chora. It offers a variety of restaurants and cafes and banks and a pharmacy and little unique boutiques. Because you walk along a narrow road from the resort to the town center with very little street lights, Iro and her husband offered to lend us a flashlight. However we used the flash on our iPhone. This is a very recommendable place for a relaxing getaway. It’s both a children friendly resort providing a lovely pool area, and a romantic getaway with beautiful walks in the mountains and a peaceful environment as well as a quiet place where you can go to town for a cocktail if you wanna break the calmness. Definitely recommendable and definitely going back there again ❤️

Splendid family run vacation rental. We were there with our two boys and had the most wonderful time. Relaxed atmosphere with warm hospitality and delicious home made breakfast in the most picturesque scenery. Highly recommended.

My wife and I stayed in one of the apartments for 5 nights, we loved it. Fantastic hosts, good hearty breakfast (ask for the french toast!) and only 10 mins walk to the capital (Hora) via a quiet road. We used the place as a base to explore the central and southern part of the island, very well located to do that. We lay at the pool a few afternoons, sat on our patio and basically soaked up the very local atmosphere surrounded by nature but within a stones throw of Hora. We hope to be back one day......

Iro suites is a simple “guest house” that is very clean and well located in Chora. I stayed with two other adults and two children (8+12) in a family suite Location- The location is a little remote for walking to Chora town on a daily basis. I would estimate 10-15 mins fast paced. Up and down a single road. By car takes a maximum of 5 mins. Taxis can be booked. I had a rental car. Lovely scenery from the apartment, breakfast and pool area. There is a couple of shops and petrol station 10 mins walk away for drinks/snacks (not restaurants). The Family Suite- Consisted of two levels. On ground was a kitchenette (kettle and small inbuilt stove with a sink), a 1.5 single bed, balcony with two chairs and a table, a bathroom which was small but more than enough and a double bedroom which has more than enough hanging space. Rooms are cleaned daily and provided with a bath and body towel for each guest daily. Upstairs - it is a loft where you MUST crouch down or bang your head. This overlooks the ground area. My kids loved it up here but not good for kids that like climbing or under 7 years old. Thin/steep stairs lead to this bedroom and can be tricky for adults that are not stable! Dressing tables and more hanging space. Outside the room is a garden table with four chairs. I think all rooms have this. Breakfast- Every day was a slight change. Mostly eggs in different ways, coffee, tea, orange juice, watermelon, French toast, breads, turkey and cheese slices, cornflakes, jam and honey etc. we all enjoyed our breakfast which is served from 8.30-10.30am. Staff were super accommodating when asking for things like a plain omelette. The coffee was quite weak but everything else was great. Staff/hotel/pool etc. We booked this place upon a recommendation from a friend and got massive points from us for the pool. But we didn’t use it once as we were always out. The pool is a very good size and not that busy (at most 3-4 people using the pool area). The owners are Iro and Dino. They are super nice, extremely friendly and accommodating, I couldn’t of asked for anything more. They were great. Their daughter helps out in the mornings and is always smiling! The entire place was very clean. Would definitely go back again. Definitely recommended

A lovely accommodation with beautiful surroundings. Very well kept grounds, great hosts who were very welcoming. Nice apartment with attic for the kids. Small shower with a shower head that didn’t function well. Very good breakfast, nice and clean pool and super home made chicken nuggets. You will need a car to get around. It’s a long walk to Chora, not very safe because of lack of street lights and traffic. If I ever go back to Andros I will stay here again.

We stayed here in July 2021, 2 adults and 1 toddler, after we had to reschedule our 2020 trip. The owners were really nice an accommodating as there was low availability. The first room we stayed in was big and all rooms had an outside terrace. The views from the terrace were amazing and the pool (and pool bar) really nice, but open only from 11 am to 7 pm which was a bit weird, as were waking up early and no way to walk anywhere. I think it’s important to mention that you really need a car to go around, even to the store to buy basics, the walk to the city is 20 min and to the beach 30, but unfortunately i wouldn’t recommend do that as it would mean basically walking in full sun at 40 degrees. In the rooms there was no smart tv, the windows are really small which is a shame with such amazing views, and the beds are very short. Appreciated the homemade breakfast, but we missed the coffee and as the pool bar was opening at 11 we basically had to wait 4h to buy a good coffee. Also, the breakfast was missing veggies and more fruit, which i was expecting to have plenty in Greece. Overall great price quality ratio for Andros.
