I am regretting every single minute and cent I spent at this place. We were aiming for other restaurants but ended up going in there since the children were hungry.... Let me share some details: 1. Smoking, smoking everywhere. Even the waitors are smoking in the middle of the seating area.... 2. Attitude from the waitors which is very far from the spirit of the Xmas holidays. 3. The got two elements of our order wrong. The waitor collecting the order didn’t really pay much attention... it’s not like we were indecisive and confused him - the contrary 4. Food quality is average to say the least. They burnt my sausages and my wife’s pork I could have done much better and I have no cooking experience - the mastello was very well prepared though I must say but doesn’t make up for the rest. Some useful advice: please use trip advisor to choose what you like and if you visit during peak hours make sure you book in advance

1 star is definitely for the place, ambience, presentation. Food is average. We ordered 1. Pork leg with honey and French fries. Average meat. Fries like rubber, probably not fresh ones. 2. Beef made in oven with cheese and manestra. Average meat. Manestra was good. 3. Tomatoes and cucumber salad. Good salad 4. 500 ml wine. Local, not bottled. Good wine Total 48.30€. Definitely pricey. Oh 4 pieces of bread was 2 €. Well I understand they make their living from few months of tourist. But then, maintaining quality for price is important.

Excellent meat quality, especially roasted meat is very tasty. Friendly and polite staff. Desert without charge at the end. Definitely I will visit again!

A Greek traditional tavern located at the central pedestrian road of the mountain village of Elati. Very good variety of grill as well as Greek traditional cooked dishes and drinks. Warm and friendly atmosphere, traditional decoration with fireplace at the indoor seating, helpful and polite staff.

Nice traditional tavern. Good quality food, especially meat. Try anything on the spit or game when available. Suggested for summer or winter.

I gave the kalamaras tavern a mediocre review in the past. I will change my review after a wonderful meal we had there. Yes the taverna is not very traditional outside (it is inside) but the food is. Prices are good and cooking is mostly done by 2 old ladies. i would not pay attention to the mediocre reviews as i think they are superficial.

Non professional, extremely rude, pet hostile !!! We entered the restaurant asking politely if they allow small dogs ie. a small Maltese. As soon as the owner saw us he started shouting “out with the dog” as if we were criminals and he didn’t even give us the chance if they could accommodate us outside as the day was great. Never before have I seen such an unprofessional behaviour!!! Totally unacceptable!!!
