★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We do understand that Downtown prices should be a bit higher, but the food quality it's so poor that makes you stand up and leave instantly. Fish soup is so salty that lifts your blood presure in matter of minutes. Lamb chops is dry and tasteless. Grilled octopus fits în the same lame category. We could only eat the greek salad, tzatziki (but what can go wrong with that?) and the sea bream. I don't wanna be mean, maybe other things on the menu might be tasty, but this was our culinary experience with Kabourelias. Sorry fellas, it might be your cook, but from what we got for the money we gave you, one star looks very generous.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ On our first night on Sporades, before we changed to Alonnisos the next day, we strolled around a bit after our arrival. After many years of experience on many Greek islands, we discovered Kampourelias straight away and ate here. Everything was great! And then after our entire trip on Alonnisos and Skopelos, we came back to Skiathos and had another week on the island. I have no idea how often we ate here, especially since there aren't necessarily many tavernas or ouzeries on the island. From taste to hospitality, Kampourelias was one of the best in all of the Sporades.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were in this ouzeria in October 2021. The place was packed. Most of the customers were Greek families which added to the authenticity of the experience. The grilled sardines were delicious, and with the ouzo order you get a complimentary Greek mezza dish. The service was relatively fast. But the servers showed more interest in their local customers, which in some cultures can be understandable.
