S	Sanne Kue on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went there after hiking, and found it the perfect place to find shelter from the midday heat there. The people saw us coming and immediately brought a bottle of water. You get good food and a fantastic view of the area. As we hung around after eating to talk and wait for the day to get a bit cooler, they brought us a plate full of melon pieces on the house. We also had a lot of fun watching the goats on the other side of the road.

G	Gerard Thibault on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing and unassuming taverna perched on the top of the kalamaki to Zante town road (well, road from kanalos to Zante - somewhat dusty track from kalamaki to kanalos!). Amazing views, and worth the circa 5km plus trek from kalamaki to see it! Hosts are very charming and attentive. Drinks were cold and extremely welcome for an overweight walker......and after cooling down I ordered the beef liver...served with fabulous local tomato and cucumber.... A sensible portion of fried potatoes.... But the liver itself was huge and so tasty! Great local produce to buy as well, cherries in alcohol (I think) and olive oil and honey which I bought!! Super break on the 12.7km walk.....in a very hot June day!! Fabulous!
