Great location in Chora, easy walk to museum and hiking trails in the valley, comfy rooms with fridge and kettle, incredibly friendly owners, economical rates.

Very clean and hospitable!! The place is in a quite place and walking distance from town center. Owner very welcoming and eager to give top tips for places to go and eat. Also, rents boats for day trips...

These are fantastic apartments on a wonderful island. Infact, we like the place, and the apartments, so much we've been coming back for more than 11 years. The apartments are of a really high standard - spacious, comfortable, clean and tastefully decorated, with pleasant outdoor terraces. There is good wi-if, comfortable beds, plenty of wardrobe and cupboard space, lots of hot water, a well equipped kitchen. They are situated in a quiet residential area, a pleasant 10 minute walk from the lively and picturesque centre of Chora, and 15 mins away from a choice of two lovely beaches. From the apartments you look out on a beautiful, peaceful valley with an ancient monastery and pretty villages perched high up in the surrounding mountains. Andros has a fantastic network of hiking paths, many of which start from Chora. It's still a relatively undeveloped island and very rewarding to explore. Yannis and Caroline and their two daughters live on the floor above, and are welcoming, friendly hosts, speaking excellent English and French. They are happy to take the time to tell you about the island and give any help needed. This is really a great place to stay!

Because of a mistake at one hotel, whom couldn't find our booking, the owner contacted Riva apt. Going from the prospect of a nice hotel at €70 to the Riva dump at €100 was absolutely desolating, but we were stuck. I cannot/will not recommend this place.

Excellent accommodation in this spacious and spotless venue. Carolin was an excellent hostess, offering us very helpful suggestions about walking routes, ferry timetables, nearby islands etc. We were a party of 3 and couldn’t recommend this venue highly enough.

I've been coming to Riva Karaoulanis apartments regularly for over a decade now, in all seasons. The quality is superb, and the location gorgeous. Caroline and Yiannis are spectacular hosts with amazing knowledge of the island. I won't stay anywhere else. Close to town, clean, quiet, insulated self serviced apartments, many with lovely valley views and morning sunshine on their patio - perfect for those who like to cook in sometimes. But above all, it's the company and helpfulness of the hosts that makes this so magic.
