Karavakia Thessaloniki Waterbus - Katouni 4

What no one tells you there are 2 separate companies that drive from Thessaloniki. They will sell you the return ticket because it's cheaper that way. You have Karavakia and Karavaki boats,very similar time tables and both stop at the same spot!! The ride takes longer that 55min!!

The most enjoyable way to access beaches from Thessaloniki.

Boat did not come back to pick a large group of us up. We were left stranded on Peraia Beach with no way home. Absolute disgrace

This summer season 2022 Karavakia was the first company who started taking people from Thessaloniki to nearby beaches. First impressiom was not very nice - the 2 guys are acting like its some party boat, shouting some zero-sense words to make themselves look interesting. In my opinion they have zero respect to clients. But the boat is on time, and the 50 minutes just fly by with the views. The second impression was not so good- first they were selling return tickets, but when the realized they will have tourists and income, they stopped the return tickets because lot of tourists had no chance to get on the boat! Third impression - I did not get on the boat (and along with me other 30 people) at the White tower because of??? I dont know. I understand there is limit of people on the boat but why did they left us at the Lefkos Pyrgos and than went to the Port??? I mean ... Zero respect to clients they just care about the income and money. If they see there are people who they can take, why dont you and send a second boat from Port? Or one time just Lefkos Pyrgos second time Port. What you are doing is unfair and clearly its all about the money for you. When we took the last boat from Neoi Epivates at 19:15 the priority were people with online tickets. Noone mentioned it in the morning when they left us at the White Tower.... When they took.the online tickets on the boat, one sailer said "I am very sorry but we have people in Perea waiting who bought the online tickets. I am sorry I am just a sailor I can take only 160 poeple on board and this is problem of the.company, I.cannot take every one od you" and it looked.like people without online tickets are staying. Fortunately I was able to get through the crowds and be one of the 20? People who were taken. BUT lot of people were left at the port again so... BUY ONLINE TICKETS=YOU ARE PRIORITY. There are now also Poseidon Seaways so rather go with them.

Very nice boat and pleasant to travel on. Quite unreliable though. Do not assume they will honour the timetable. Was let down twice on return journey. Perfect weather but boat just didn't turn up. Many people waiting let down. Early June obviously means that they decide not to.bother with end of day return trips.

Nice opportunity to go to the beach within 1 hour, but be carefull planning late return to Thessaloniki. Sometimes boat does not operate due to bad weather conditions and sometimes…. just not arriving at all. No information at the stop, only at the internet. The personnel smoked at the ship which was a little bit annoying and put cigarette ash to the general plastic bin. It seemed to be dangerous (fire risk?).

Well the boat trip to get to Perea Beach was pretty much ok. Nice view, nice boat and 5€ is absolutely fair. But on the way back they left a Pier full/packed by people (not only tourists) and left. The boat would be full. Even though more people left the boat than they allowed back onto it. Only Greek people who spoke their mother tongue got a chance. (maybe 6-7 people) More than 30 people had to wait. The boat only goes 4 times a day. If they know it's still high season and the last boat it always that packed (especially on the weekend) why isn't there a 2nd boat? Or more schedules? The guys only said "the next and very last boat comes in 30mins" but there were more people arriving at the Pier and nobody knows what to do. We have never been to Perea beach before and had no idea where to go or what to do. Took us 20mins to find the Taxi stand (quiet a walk away). But it's cheap and easy. 25€ to get back to Thessaloniki Pier. Found two other guys who joined and shared it. Saw more of the country and it's way more comfortable!

Great ride with nice views of the bay! I bought round trip tickets online as I didn’t have much cash on me. The boat leaves right at the listed time so be there early!
