Kastelórizo - Nikolaou 2

As always we booked a reservation for 3. To celebrate our nameday. We were hoping to sit in the garden. They told us the garden is closed - no reason given. They took us to a table in the smoking section without even asking if we smoke. The air conditioning was blasting full power. We asked to transfer elsewhere - specifically to the section next to the side road. They said that we needed a reservation in order to sit there. As if we didn’t have one. They ended up sitting us right next to the toilet door. Regardless of the food quality the service sucks big time. We will never return. And we urge everyone else to think twice before coming here unless you do know the owner.

Exceptional place. Bice staff and food. One the best place for seafood in the area. As far as I know the restaurant has big historical heritage and serves at one place for half a century. strongly advise to visit this place

We came on a Sunday noon to have lunch on the way to the airport after an exquisite 6 days in north Greece. We sat on a table in the garden, a very serious waiter without even a slight smile came and ordered starters. The waiter said we have to go in to choose the fish. I walked in and tried to talk for 10 min to the person in charge on the fish selection but he preferred he locals. Than another nervous short tempered waiter showed up and and I managed to picked a fish to be grilled. We waited around 45 min and, although guests next to us got firsts and even mains, nothing was brought to our table. I approach the waiter 3 times, explaining we need to catch a flight asking him to check our dishes. He promised everything will be out in two minutes. After 10 minutes he brought 3 salads. After another 10 minutes I asked for the bill. It didn’t arrive so I left a note if 20 and walked away. Overall we waited more than an hour for food with not even a minor apology. I never experienced such a bad and unpleasant service in Greece or anywhere else. I appreciate it was a busy hour and the restaurant was full of people but, as mentioned, people who came before us got what they ordered much before we did (or didn’t...). We strongly felt we were not a priority for the restaurant.

Exquisite taste, exceptional service and reasonable prices (especially the five course menu)

First time, after years repeatedly dining at Kastellorizo this was the first time the service was below acceptable level. Hope that this was unfortunate coincidence.

One of the best fish I have had in a long time and in all of Greece. The juiciness , tenderness and presentation along with smiley staff made it an amazing one. Highly recommended for people around the north or wanting to visit

As a fish lover, I'd say it was the best fish I've ever had. Akis was both friendly and very helpful. If you think about how delicious a salad can be, eat and see their special salad. Even the salad alone was a masterpiece. Yes, it's not cheap, but you can't say it's expensive with the food you eat and the service you get. I went at a non-crowded hour so I don't know how they serve when they're crowded, but my experience was excellent.

Traditional and great place to enjoy (preferably) dinner at the north of Athens. Good seafood and fresh fish you may enjoy in the garden. Worth going
