Our confirmed reservation was inexplicably cancelled weeks after we booked. Management refuses to explain, much less both to answer our emails. I would think twice about relying on this establishment.

Another fantastic place in Mykonos, you can visit the area without a reservation, You can just go and take a photo or you can just have a drink at the coctail bar while you staring the most amazing sunset.

We had a confirmation email and confirmation number from this property, and when we arrived to check in management said our room was not available. They tried to offer us a tent (with no security, personal plumbing, or air conditioning) as a replacement to the windmill suite we booked. The manager was very unprofessional and demeaning towards us, we had to call the property many times to get any sort of response. We were forced to book another property the day we needed to check in. Looking at past reviews it appears this is a repeated issue. I would not trust booking a stay or planning an event at this property.

Castle Panigirakis is a slight trek up from the old Port in Mykonos Town. Once above the town, you're rewarded with the best views of the port, town and sunsets. Our room, in the old windmill, was very nice and had a the most perfect view. The owner even offered us a ride back to the port after we checked out - greatly appreciated with the limited taxis on the island!

We stayed in Windmill Guest Room #1. It has the most beautiful view of Mykonos town and the old Port. The traditional Greek breakfast is delicious (fresh bread, jam, butter, juice, coffee or tea, and an omelet with chicken, tomatoes, and feta). The room is fully equipped with plates, refrigerator, small stove top, and a microwave. An AB grocery store is 200 meters up the hill where you can purchase food and drinks at regular prices. During the Friday night of our stay, there was live music and a talented singer performing at the Sunset 180 degree bar on the property. We greatly enjoyed our stay!

My photo of the arch overlooking Mykonos harbor was one I took while traveling with school friends way back in the spring of 1990. This photo is already 30+ years old, and yet the town is hardly changed. The Kastro Panigiraki, wedding venue has acquired the land above and up to the arch in the intervening years. Back in 1990, I was able to simply walk up to the arch on the uphill side by walking through some open pasture areas while keeping an eye out for goats. Looking over the other photos it does appear that it has been much more secured and developed from when I was there in 1990. I spent several days on the island, staying in three different locations, each one had a different feel. It was a fantastic trip and was a great way to end my year-long study abroad program in France that year. It looks like the Panigiraki has done a good job of keeping much of the vista and architecture intact. Mykonos is a great island to visit and explore, very picturesque. I took this photo after seeing a similar one on a postcard while in town and realized that it was the arch up on the hillside and working out how to actually hike up and get to it from above. When I got home I entered this photo in a local paper photo contest and actually placed. Not bad. One way you can tell the age of this photo is to notice the lack of urban development on the spit of land out beyond the bay on the far left. Today there are more resorts and built-up areas over there. Also, the empty terrace at the base of the steps of this arch is now hotel property. They have also added night illuminations and a hook inside the arch to hang artsy objects.
