Excellent landscape, but not for swimming if you are not experienced ?

Rough sea watching during winter, adventurous swimming spot on a summer day with calm sea.

Fantastic location, perfect from cliff diving from 4 up to 8-9 meters. The water is deep and blue.

Just unique. Excellent experience. Not for the faint hearted. You enter (jumb in) at a depth of around 7 meters between rocks. Coming out is more difficult especially if its wavy. A geological formation that nature has endowed Mani with. It is better to visit after 4 pm on a calm day. No shades available. Quite a steep path down too. Go light as it can be a pain to climb back with a load.

We couldn't descent because what seemed to be the route down wan extremely slippery and muddy due to the recent rain . The rocky landscape below seems awesome though !

Best time for swimming is in the morning when the sea is calm and the rocks cast a shadow. Two points to enter the crystal clear water where of the one on the right is much easier. No water shoes required. Nice snorkeling. Always some little fish swarms, but nothing overwhelming. Main feature ist the unique atmoshere in this momolithic theatre with the cave. Very dangerous dive possible from the sea into another cave. No Location for kids.

Kataphygi ... nature at its best! You have to park on the road, from where you descend on a rather difficult path, through big rocks and flagstones; in the most difficult areas there are 2 wooden stairs. There are no amenities, you can sunbath on the towel directly on the stones, but there are also shaded areas under the rock. The entrance to the water is possible only by diving directly from the slabs or the rocks high above, the water is very deep; getting out of the water is more difficult, the slabs being slippery, so it is easier to climb among the rocks. Definitely a must see.

This place is out of this world. The landscape is unbelievable. Only 2 things to worry about: (1) getting down from the road to this place is a 5 minutes mountain-like descent and (2) make sure you find a good spot for getting out of the water, because there are just a few...Oh, and never go into the water if wind / waves, it is hard to avoid getting brutally smashed.
