★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ζητήσαμε προσφορά για επισκευή (όχι μεγάλης) ζημιάς κυρίως στο καπό του αυτοκινήτου και μας εξήγησε ο Κος Κατσαρός ότι πρέπει να κρατήσει το αυτοκίνητο και να αποσυναρμολογήσει κάποια μέρη ώστε να μπορέσει να μας δώσει προσφορά. Αφήσαμε το αυτοκίνητο και αφού μας έδωσε την προσφορά η οποία ήταν διπλάσια από άλλο φανοποιείο του εξηγήσαμε ότι δεν θέλουμε να την αποδεχτούμε και πρέπει να παραλάβουμε το αυτοκίνητο για να το πάμε σε άλλο συνεργείο. Επανατοποθέτησε πρόχειρα το καπό και μας χρέωσε 50Ε για την εργασία. Του εξήγησα ότι δεν δείχνει επαγγελματισμό το να χρεώνει τη διαδικασία προσφοράς αλλά είχε αντίθετη άποψη. Προσωπική μου άποψη είναι ότι η διαδικασία παροχής προσφοράς δεν χρεώνεται στον πελάτη παρόλο που τις περισσότερες φορές συμπεριλαμβάνει προσπάθεια να ολοκληρωθεί. Είναι μέρος του ρίσκου που αναλαμβάνει ο κάθε επαγγελματίας και όταν δεν είναι ανταγωνιστικές οι τιμές χρειάζεται να επωμιστεί το κόστος. Εννοείται ότι όταν παραδώσαμε το αυτοκίνητο δεν μας είπε ότι θα υπάρχει κόστος για να μας κάνει την προσφορά.
We asked for an offer to repair (not much) damage mainly to the hood of the car and Mr. Katsaros explained to us that he has to keep the car and disassemble some parts so that he can give us an offer. We left the car and after he gave us the offer which was twice as much from another body shop we explained to him that we do not want to accept it and we have to pick up the car to take it to another workshop. He tentatively replaced the hood and charged us 50E for the work. I explained to him that it does not show professionalism to charge for the bidding process but he had the opposite view. My personal view is that the bidding process is not charged to the customer although most of the time it involves trying to complete it. It is part of the risk that every professional takes and when prices are not competitive the cost needs to be borne. Of course, when we delivered the car he did not tell us that there would be a cost to make us the offer.
