Στις 6 Αυγούστου έτυχε να τραγουδώ σε συναυλία του δήμου στο Κιάτο με το Βαγγέλη Κορακάκη και τη Σοφία Παπάζογλου κι επειδή το εν λόγω κατάστημα μας έδωσε ρεύμα εκείνη την ημέρα, υπέθεσα πως θα μπορούσα να χρησιμοποιήσω την τουαλέτα του καταστήματος για ένα λεπτό ώστε να φορέσω το πουκάμισο μου. Ταξιδέψαμε από την Αθήνα από το μεσημέρι και το είχα πάρει στην κρεμάστρα για να αλλάξω εκεί. Ωστόσο όταν ρώτησα τη σερβιτόρα που είναι η τουαλέτα, επενέβη ο ιδιοκτήτης φωνάζοντας και λέγοντας επί λέξη: "Όχι ρε παιδιά, όχι ρε παιδιά, δεν μπορείς κύριε να χρησιμοποιήσεις την τουαλέτα. Είστε πελάτης μας; αγοράσατε κάτι από δω;" Όχι του απαντώ. "Τότε δε μπορείτε να πάτε" μου ξαναλέει. Του απάντησα φεύγοντας, πως ο τρόπος του ήταν απαράδεκτος και πως νόμιζα πως βρίσκομαι σε φιλόξενο μέρος. Ευτυχώς δεν είχα την ίδια αντιμετώπιση από το παρακείμενο πρακτορείο προ-πο κι έτσι μπόρεσα να αλλάξω και να ξεκινήσει η συναυλία. Κατόπιν έμαθα από τους ηχολήπτες εκείνης της βραδιάς (που σημειωτέον ήταν εκεί απ' το μεσημέρι) πως για να τους επιτρέψει να πάνε στην τουαλέτα, αναγκάστηκαν να ψωνίσουν καφέ και παγωτό από το κατάστημα του "κυρίου" αυτού. Πρώτη φορά στη ζωή μου, μου φέρθηκαν τόσο αφιλόξενα. Τα συμπεράσματα δικά σας Unacceptable behavior. Extremely inhospitable place with the owner in charge. On the 6th of August I happened to sing at a concert of the municipality in Kiato with Vangelis Korakakis and Sofia Papazoglou and because the store in question gave us electricity that day, I assumed that I could use the store toilet for a minute to wear the my shirt. We traveled from Athens at noon and I had taken it on the hanger to change there. However, when I asked the waitress what the toilet was, the owner intervened, shouting and saying, "No, guys, no, guys, you can not use the toilet, sir. Are you our customer? Did you buy anything from here?" I do not answer him. "Then you can not go," he tells me again. I replied leaving, that his manner was unacceptable and that I thought I was in a hospitable place. Luckily I did not get the same treatment from the nearby pro-po agency so I was able to change and start the concert. Then I learned from the sound engineers that night (who had been there since noon) that in order to allow them to go to the bathroom, they had to buy coffee and ice cream from this "gentleman"'s shop. For the first time in my life, I was treated so rudely. The conclusion is yours to make
