Great location to easily move around a quite large island. Very nice contemporary guest house, large swimming pool (16x9) with enchanting views on Lourdas bay. Generous breakfasts offered by the 2 super hosts! A great place to stay in kefalonia! +++

Offensive behaviour but overall a beautiful place to stay. I will be as objective as possible, commenting our stay in august 2021. Kefi Spitia is a wonderfull villa located near Lourdata. The access is a bit troublesome because there is no concrete on the track and you have to climb in sand and rocks by car. Once arrived, the view on the bay is breathtaking. The beach (Lourdas beach - not one of the best beaches anyway) is 1 km away, but because the path is so steep, it is difficult to go by feet. But it is really a 5 min. drive. The location is a good departing point to visit the island. The house is new and well decorated. It has severel independant rooms, and what is called a "family suite" on the second floor of the owner's house. I won't recommand this last accomodation because there is no private access (you have to go through the owners living room or kitchen - who rudely made it clear that they don't appreciate you crossing - or by the back of the house, passing the rubbish.). The privacy is very limited. Also, both rooms are very hot (it is impossible to enjoy the private terraces during the summer) but there is a strong climatisation and the stores close perfectly so it is completely dark. Our friends were staying in the indipendents rooms and were pretty happy about them. The swimming pool is also wonderfull, it is 18 meters long and the view from there is very relaxing. Margaux cooks exquisite breakfast, whom she serves under a wide pergola. I definitely appreciated the hard work and passion she puts into her pastries (delicious) and also the patience she showed our kids. As we were a group of 23 people with kids all the property was occupied by us. This may have been overwhelming for the hosts, who are new at the job and even if, somehow, I can try to understand I am still in choc for the way we've been treated by the male host. Emmanuel was heavly rude, unprofessional and aggressive, among other many things, refering at us as "those people". The bottom line is, we didn't feel welcome at all; more than that, we felt like we were disturbing them for 2 weeks. And I still dont get what we did wrong, especially as I read all those positive comments about how welcoming they can be. I still don't get what made him dislike us so much that he could not control himself as a professional would, even if overwhelmed..the only explanation we had was that they didnt expect us "to invest the space so much" . So if you're going to Kefi Spitia to enjoy the house, just don't! Which is a pity, because it is indeed very beautiful!

As a group of 23 (10 adults -13 kids) we enjoyed our 2 weeks stay in Kefi Spitia for it's brand new premises, superb view, strategic position to reach the best beaches of the island and delicious food Margaux prepared for us. Only downside has been the clear lack of hospitality from one of the owner towards our (expected)large group, and I would say we are all well behaved/educated people. We were left with the bitter feeling that we invaded their space, and had to constantly tip toe around their property. I understand that big groups (including young children) means a bigger commitment for the owners but under no circumstances the client can feel unwanted. Kefi Spitia is potentially a great place for groups, but the owners need to market it the way they can handle it like professionals of tourism. Despite the inconvenience, we had a great holiday as a group of friends making beautiful memories for our families.
