Κάθεσαι και ακούς τις ιστορίες του σου δείχνει διάφορα περίεργα κεραμικά σε πάει στον φούρνο τον παλιό που ακόμα ψήνει τις γλάστρες του και άμα έχει και πολύ όρεξη ψήνετε μαζί μια φασολάδα στην πυροστιά έξω από την “δύσκολη” το εργαστήρι του επάνω στο κύμα. Πέρασα μαζί του σχεδόν μία ολόκληρη μέρα που δεν θα την ξεχάσω ποτέ. Costas Depastas the grandfather, one of the oldest in ceramics in art still alive in Sifnos. You sit and listen to his stories showing some strange pottery going into the old oven that is still baking its pots and even having a great appetite bake a bean in the fire outside his "hard" workshop on the waves. I spent almost a whole day with him and I'll never forget it.

Er erklärt freudig seine speziellen Gefäße, die sogar von einer amerikanischen Universität Anerkennung gefunden haben. Gerne zeigt er auch ein Bild von sich in einem bekannten deutschen Reiseführer, schon in der Ausgabe 2009. The pottery master Kostas Depastas sits comfortably in the traditional pottery. He happily explains his special vessels, which have even received recognition from an American university. He also likes to show a picture of himself in a well-known German travel guide, already in the 2009 edition.

Kostas Depastas ne parle pas anglais et encore moins français, et c'est bien dommage car on sent qu'il a beaucoup a raconter. Le plaisir dans ses yeux lorsqu'il nous montre ses poteries "énigmes" et son enthousiasme lorsque l'on trouve l'astuce m'a fait passer un excellent moment. J'ai adoré cet endroit et cet homme authentique. Chaudement recommandé. Surprisingly, I came home by chance and I haven't regretted it ... Kostas Depastas doesn't speak English and even less French, and it's a shame because we feel that he has a lot to tell. The pleasure in his eyes when he shows us his pottery "puzzles" and his enthusiasm when we find the trick made me have a great time. I loved this place and this genuine man. Warmly recommended.
