The service was ok, but the food wasn't. I would advise to avoid. We tried to get to Bluefish but ended up there because Bluefish was closed. The seafood platter was overcooked to the point of being inedible. They replaced the squid with a slightly better grilled squid, but still way below par.

The food was so delicious and the waiters were so polite. My next trip, for sure I will come here again.

This restaurant is a slight tourist trap. Located in a beautiful square, it is very easy be enticed by this restaurant. However, the food was below average. It was poorly seasoned and the speed at which it arrived I would not be surprised if it was pre-cooked and heated up. The staff however were very friendly.

My fiance and I went to this restaurant for dinner part way through our Athens trip. The service started off really well, the older gentleman met us at the menu and was very friendly and polite, and informed us that they had gluten free options which was a big deal for us as my fiance is highly allergic. After being seated, our server approached and we clarified what was meant by gluten free options. It was a heavy limitation to the menu, but something we are fairly use to. We ordered the zucchini sticks with a dipping sauce to start, and when it arrived we were saddened to see that it was covered in a batter that is not gluten free. The server was accommodating and replaced it with a Greek Salad (worst one we've had on the trip) which was very nice, and made up for what was most likely a misunderstanding. The rest of the meal was great, I had a Moussaka and my fiance had a fish fillet. When it came time to pay the bill, we received our 10 Euros entirely in change, about a pound in weight of coin. Not sure if they were short on change or trying to make a point over our dietary restrictions, but the overall experience was not what we came to expect over the course of our trip and having eaten at other, fantastic restaurants. Hopefully this was pre-season jitters and they were just dusting off. There are other restaurants that I would recommend over this, but the food was still pretty good.

After on hour and 30 minutes of wait they gave us the grossest pasta i’ve ever seen, barely ate them, and my boyfriend’s gyros had uncooked meat and it tasted really bad, just like my pasta. Then they gave me my cheesecake without a spoon so i had to eat it with my dirty cutlery from the pasta

Listen. My wife and I had 3 amazing meals at Kitro: late night fun drinks and snacks, then breakfast the next day, then an amazing fresh-fish-cooked dinner a few days later. All 3 times were perfect: great service, awesome food, romantic time. We loved it. I don’t understand how some people rated it so low - we were there 2 weeks ago and put it on our list of favorite anniversary restaurants in Athens. When we go back for our next trip - it’s a definite on our itinerary. The outside seating, the attentive waiters, the delicious food - loved it. Amazing dinner! Love how healthy and delicious the salmon tasted. So happy with this meal!

The reviews are really confusing. We had dinner and it was great. Prices a little higher than some other places but well worth it. The waiter was really lovely and service was good. Food was delicious, probably my favourite so far in Greece. I would absolutely come back next time I'm in Athens
