★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Το 1810 η Ταράτσα ήταν χωριό με πληθυσμό 100 κατοίκων. Στα μεταεπαναστατικά χρόνια το χωριό άδειαζε από κατοίκους οι οποίοι εγκαταστάθηκαν στην Λαμία και τα γύρω χωριά.
Ο ναός της Αγίας Παρασκευής είναι δωρεά του Χρήστου Ελλασώνα το έτος 1897. Τότε δημιουργήθηκε και το κοιμητήριο για τις ανάγκες της περιοχής.
Με την λειτουργία του κοιμητηρίου της Ξηριώτισσας σταμάτησε η χρήση του. Με τα χρόνια όμως και την εξάπλωση της Λαμίας προς τα βόρεια επαναλειτούργησε και σήμερα είναι το δεύτερο μεγαλύτερο κοιμητήριο της πόλης.
 In 1810 Terrace was a village with a population of 100 inhabitants. In the post-revolutionary years the village was emptied of inhabitants who settled in Lamia and the surrounding villages.
The church of Agia Paraskevi is a donation of Christos Ellasonas in the year 1897. At that time the cemetery was created for the needs of the area.
With the operation of the cemetery of Xiriotissa, its use stopped. However, over the years and the spread of Lamia to the north, it reopened and today is the second largest cemetery in the city.
