★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice beach. A bit rocky and slightly deep... Not very suitable for small children. The beach bar is on the expensive side. It charges for the sunbeds although other near by bars do not... Very good service thought. I would like to see more on the recycling part...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The beach part is OK-ish, with plenty of rocks in the sea. At the restaurant our experience was very poor. Attractive setting but clueless service. While four of our family got their orders, the fifth had to wait almost an hour for uneatable pasta in which yoghurt was the chef’s idea of bechamel. We asked twice about an ice coffee with milk without lactose, both times the waiter went away to ask and never returned.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Even though the two meats I tried were a bit dry and not salty enough, I can't take off a star because of the pleasant space they have and the friendly staff!
I loved that the plates were wooden.
There are several bees that are attracted to the dishes. When you switch tables, they won't follow you for a couple of minutes. The waiter was extra helpful to suggest that I moved.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very popular beach bar to visit and enjoy the crystal clear waters of Romanos!! Umbrellas with 2 beds are available for 5 Euro and a bucket of ice with two bottles of water is included in the price. There is plenty of car park spaces but as it gets closest to the 15th of August you might have to walk few minutes to get there. Staff are polite and friendly and there is a large selection of drinks and food to chose from.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ At one of the most beautiful beaches in Messinia Kookoonari offers great service and cleanliness. All sunbeds are properly placed apart in safe distance and are sanitised when depart.Slow funky music, relaxing and sandy beach. Strongly recommend!
