I've been to some pretty spectacular beaches, including those in Sydney and white sand paradise islands in Indonesia, but while those were great you always had to worry about big waves or/or underwater corals etc. The Korfos beach is a pebble beach that runs along the entire side of the bay with crystal clear water, that is great for swimming. There are public sections and the rest is divided between several tavernas that allow you the use of a lounger provided you buy a drink or two. Perfect location.
