Apartments are good... Owner is very kind. Only thing that I have problem with is that owner don't know English.

Clean. Friendly staff. On Lefkada you need to visit as many beaches as you can, and you spend the whole day on the beach so this accommodation is exactly what you need for that tipe of vacation, and it is good that is very near to the center (5min. walk).

The only thing above average about Koxyli Studios was the location. A walking distance from the city center and easy access by car. There were parking spaces free of charge on the property, but they were much less than the number of rooms so most times all spaces were occupied. Also there was free air conditioning and a full size refrigerator in the studio, in case we wanted to stock food supplies for weeks. Now with the cons: - Cleanliness: The worst part. Upon our arrival the room we were given was disgustingly filthy. Semi-wrinkled bed sheets with a few hairs here and there. Sand particles, dust, hair and a musty smell in the wardrobe. Dead mosquitoes, squashed on the walls and ceiling. Lots of dust on every flat surface above 5ft from the floor, on the fridge, on the wardrobe, inside and on top of every kitchen cupboard. The fridge was full of crumbles and other food remains while the freezer walls were covered in ice mixed with food remains. The air condition remote had years of accumulated filth on it from people's fingers. Foul drainage smell in the bathroom. The toilet was not clean and as extra a bonus, fecal matter on the toilet brush. We asked for our room to be cleaned again, but even after that we ended up going shopping for disinfecting and cleaning products to clean ourselves the surfaces we would be using. - Hospitality: The second worse part. The owner, the grumpy old mr Koxylas welcomed us and asked for our IDs in order to register our information. So far so good. When we asked for our IDs back he refused, except if we paid the full price for our whole stay in advance. Note that it is illegal for anyone in Greece to keep a person’s ID for any reason. When we demanded our IDs back, he became impolite and threated us by saying that he will call the police on us. There was a loud verbal fight for a while until he realized that we were not intimidated and that we knew more than well our legal rights and obligations. Then instead of apologizing, he lied about him being just an employee, following orders from his boss and finally gave us back our ID. He hadn't talked to us ever since during our stay. He just became even grumpier. - Beds: The mattresses were of the lowest quality, old and highly uncomfortable to sleep, especially on your side. Pillows were very thin, filled with squished and lumpy cotton. - Safety: No fire extinguisher. Exposed, uninsulated electric wires both in the bathroom and next to the main switch near the room entrancewith live 220V current. - Privacy: Our studio on the ground floor had no private porch or balcony. The bathroom window had a good direct view the next studio and vice versa. Right outside the balcony door, there was a hallway to other studios so people were passing by all the time. The only way for adequate privacy was with the blinds closed, that let no light in. - Amenities: Bare essentials were missing. No hand soap in the bathroom. No dish soap in the kitchen. No cooking utensils at all, just 2 plates, 2 forks, 1 knife, 1 spoon, 1 glass and 2 cups. One cupboard door was broken as another sign of poor room maintenance. The clothes dryer outside was ready to fall apart and had just 1 clothes pin to use. The WiFi was extremely slow, even for web browsing and many times it was completely unresponsive. We met two other couples during the last days of our stay. We discussed about how they liked their rooms. Surprizingly theirs were also poorly cleaned upon arrival and the owner kept their IDs. We paid 55 EUROS per night for a double bed studio for two persons without getting an invoice. Taking into consideration the overall room amenities and quality of service, the studios are terribly overpriced. The owners only care about your money, not your satisfaction. So why bother giving them your money? There are other accommodations in Lefkada that are run by people that really care about their customers.

The place has good location, on the road that leads to lefkada beaches. Rooms are clean and there is an air condition, free of charge. Parking is provided. Beds are not that comfortable. There are no prices on visible place so i guees it is negotiable. We paid 50e/night for room with 1 large and 1 small bed(3 persons total).

A typical example of a case in which people unrelated to tourism deal with it to make a quick profit without corresponding benefits. The apartment was dirty without the household appliances, which incidentally malfunctioned (only one of the 4 stoves in the kitchen worked properly while the refrigerator had a damaged thermostat so it works as a freezer), to have never been cleaned. The sofa was very hard, you couldn't sit and it also smelled of mold. The bed was old-fashioned, short, and also creaky. Absolute lack of taste in decoration. Lack of solar water heater. On a noisy main road. The only advantage is the distance from the center. 5 minutes walk.
