★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've been there in September 2019 with my British partner. (I am Greek) We absolutely loved this place. Amazing pastries and friendly stuff. I had profiterole and my partner eclair. He said it was the best he has ever eaten.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As we were walking around Chania, we found a pastry shop named Kronos that sells Loukoumathes and I had to stop. These are little fried yeast dough bites (think donut holes but smaller) soaked in a honey and water mixture. They are delicious. They were not in the counter and so I asked. The nice lady behind the counter told me they make each order fresh which is even better! So, a sweet lady in her eighties fried them, soaked and boxed the dozen for our savoring. They were a WOW-Moment of flavor as the honey infused flavor exploded in my mouth. My wife said they were okay while the other couple both liked them.
It was a re-acquaintance of an old comfort friend for me from when I lived in Greece for a while forty years ago. I mentioned that it had been forty years since I last had them and the lady who made them for me laughed and said she would be gone next time I returned if I waited so long between having them. Well, I’m scheduled to return to Crete in 2021 and just maybe I’ll be able to find my way to Kronos again!
