This bus stop is good. You can purchase your ticket from the office there and you can ask for bus schedule to any city you want. I went to Previri beach from Rethymnon.

Trying to take the bus from Perivolia to Rethymno. The busdriver refuses to sell tickets! Why? When we took the same route 3 days earlier it was ok to pay to the busdriver for the ticket! No information anywhere! Not on the website, not at busstop. Incredible! Also, the bus is completely full with people, like shipping pigs to the market Are we i EU or some small African undeveloped country?

A perfect place for a 2-3 days vacation, especially if you look for a quite place with a fair amount of people.

Most of my experience with KTEL of Rethymno is positive. Our telephone communication was good and the routes are available in Greek and English on their website. The people there are willing to help and friendly. There's a cafe onsite where you can buy snacks and local treats. There isn't much seating available, so you might end up standing in the sun :( The indoor space at least has cooling fans. Their buses are modern, clean and air conditioned too!!!

A very lovely bus station - the schedules are printed out, they can also be found online with 0 problems. The bathroom is clean and free of charge, the staff speak English perfectly. You can take a rest in the station cafe which overlooks the sea and serves a variety of drinks and snacks.

Smaller than other bus stations but located not far from the centre of town which is convenient (easy to walk to). There is an information desk for assistance and the bus gates are clearly labelled on the overhead screens. As all transport seems to be in Greece, it’s a bit chaotic getting on/off the buses, lining up, showing your ticket etc. but you manage. Small cafe inside and public washrooms available while you wait, as well as limited seating.
