Fantastic place in all serenity. 5 min walk from the beach. A dirt road of approx. 5 km takes you to Spathi, which only has a few houses and a beach bar. Geraldine and Yiorgos are fantastic hosts. They show you there grounds with olive trees, beehives, fog trees, chickens, donkeys, zucchini, melons and so much more. An experience you will not forget!

The house and the rooms are finely restored, with a warm and informal elegance. They are surrounded by the fascinating nature of the greek islands, and the clear water (katharó neró, as George taught me!) of the bay is just a few steps from there. You can find the same informal elegance into the hosts: Géraldine and George are really generous, polite and caring people. They will do everything to make your experience in Kea pleasant and memorable! I suggest to try their own products, once there: honey, wine, ... Ciao G&G dall'Italia!

Paradise on earth! We spent the best time at La Madison Vert Amande; all was perfect from the room to the breakfast (all homemade and from the garden) to the absolutely gorgeous beach close by and Geraldine and George the hosts. We are definitely coming back next year:-)

La Maison Vert Amande is like a little oasis where you can find time to relax and enjoy the simple joys of life. The last few kilometres of dirt road before arriving at this lovely B&B were a bit unnerving the first time, but we soon got used to travelling along it. Everything exceeded our expectations. Our room was really cozy, exceptionally clean and decorated with artistic flair. Breakfasts were delicious and served when we were ready to start our day (a real plus!) We quickly discovered Géraldine’s culinary skills and chose to eat supper there most of the time, rather than going out to restaurants. Géraldine and George were terrific hosts. It was a real pleasure to be a part of their world during the 11 days that we spent there. Kea (Τσια) itself is a beautiful, mountainous island with lush vegetation and an impressive network of hiking trails. If you enjoy travelling far from the maddening crowd, I highly recommend a trip to Kea to stay at La Maison Vert Amande.

Geraldine and George make you feel at home in minutes, they are very friendly hosts. House is a traditional old greek house, very comfortable and decorated with love. Room has separate shower. Food is amazing, mostly from own garden. It is 5 min walk to a beach with very clean water. If you come by boat, consider walking 400 m to buy local olive oil, thyme honey and hand-made jam. The best present you can bring home for your friends.

La maison vert Amande is amazing! The house, the garden, the animals and most of all Geraldine and Georgos. They are incredible people and only deserve the best? I loved every minute that I stayed with them. They took great care of me and treated me like part of their family. Geraldine can cook fantastic stuff using all the ingredients from the garden! They put so much love and effort in everything they do, so if you're searching for the best people in the world...go and visit them?

The place is amazing. The room exceptional. Geraldine has done a wonderful job in offering great hospitality. The decoration is superb and everything very clean. It needs a/c though. The room has a very heavy duty fan yet this year's heatwave needed smth more. The breakfast needs smth more as well. Lemon juice for breakfast? Probably cheese. The beach is fantastic and the Maison quite near it. Probably Geraldine cooks good too. I couldn't say, we arranged for lamb chops, she cooked lamb intestines, not to my taste. Huge tip: if you are driving to the Maison go through Kastriani. The other road is non existent. Despite its shortcomings I would return.

We spent 4 nights here and wished we could have extended our trip. We came because friends spoke so highly of it, and now we would recommend the Maison Vert Amande/the Almond Green House to anyone. It is a little oasis of calm and sanity. Geraldine has wonderful warmth and an incredible eye: the section of the house given over to guests is faithful to its origins (it's where George, her husband, grew up), and then she has added little touches from her travels in France and elsewhere. The effect is simple and calming and everything is spotlessly clean. Geraldine is also a mean cook. A delicious breakfast is included and you can stay there for lunch and supper or drive to a nearby taverna. She speaks French, Greek and English. George speaks Greek and Bee - he is one of the island's most respected honey producers. Both make you feel very welcome. La Maison Vert Amande was our first trip away after many months of covid restrictions. We really needed a tonic and we got it. A longer stay next year is already booked.
