La Piñata - Pelasgias 54

Carlito, as they affectionately call him in Greece, is originally from Costa Rica. I imagine that the next logical thought is what is he doing in Greece? And the answer like almost all the foreigners who live in this country is ”LOVE”….. First I fell in love with my Greek wife, then with my Greek daughter and then little by little I fell in love with a place full of graffiti, people with humongous hearts, good food, and of course good wine “ΚΑΛΑ ΚΡΑΣΙΑ”….

From the age of 15, I had the opportunity to travel to Mexico, Central and South America and experience the textures and flavors of Latin food. Years later I returned to my country to finish my studies, but I knew that I had to keep walking, until I could find the place that would give me the peace that I was looking for. Thank God, a door opened for me to travel to the United States, where I had the opportunity to learn the true passion of cooking.    More than 10  years of endless working hours, no days off or holidays, just for the sole purpose of achieving the necessary level to work in New York and Las Vegas restaurants. So after all that time traveling and learning the good stuff, this is how we decided to bring La Piñata to life.  A place where we could finally find the peace we were looking for, through good food and great friends.
