★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 5 stars. Levante is an amazing restaurant and the best I’ve been to during my time in Greece so far. I can personally highly recommend the garlic bread & spaghetti, they were beautifully homemade & tasted gorgeous. The staff were welcoming & catered to our vegetarian requirements like stars. To top it all off, the view was stunning.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had an amazing dinner here. This place is very traditional and so is the menu. We had lots of starters and grilled octopus (which was very average). Our favorites were muzithra pie (you have to try this one, a very thin dough filled with salty cheese), stuffed cabbage leaves and tzatziky. Generous portions. Red wine was very easy to drink. The complimentary desserts were a very nice touch, also the raki. The gentleman who served us was the kindest host, we even received a bottle of olive oil as a present.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A great address ! Fresh products cooked by a master chef. Outstanding grilled octopus, tasty snails, we had dinner there at least four times. It is not on the list but you should try the famous Cretan fish soup (kakavia - κακαβιά). Ask Nikos, he'll ask a fisherman to bring him a rockfish (mérou - σφυρίδα or ροφός) to make that famous soup. Nikos has got a wonderful sense of φιλοξενία (hospitality) ! And his young waiter is charming. Thanks again !

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Two stars just for the location and the friendly staff. Everything else was a disaster. We ordered a variety of dishes and everything was either boring, bland or overly salted. The moussaka was bland, dry, cold and gummy. The mackerel was over cooked and oversalted. The house wine while I don't expect much, was barely drinkable.

The salad was fresh and some of the starters were passable but the gyros was easily the worst I have had in Crete.
