★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Much better in terms of products. Still hv to frequent other groceries for some basics. Most staff friendly & helpful. The begging gypsies waiting at the doors are irritating & persistent.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wide variety of products at attractive prices. The only downside is that visitors need to be vigilant for purse-snatchers, pickpockets etc inside but mainly outside the store.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Terrible atmosphere. Be AWARE there are gypsies outside trying to steal you. Be aware especially the old people as they take by force their cart. Just went to the person responsible inside lidl and when I told them all the above I got a response with a big smile and told me what are we suppose to do it's not our business

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ For a market, it has a great variety of cheap products. For a LIDL, its somewhat smaller than usual.
Although some are of lower quality than Greek brands, a lot are quite worthwhile like the junk food, or the frozen food section. I wouldn't recommend getting beef/pork or vegetables from there personally (or rice. fairly low quality). Chicken or fish is good ,and on great prices though.
Watch for the 30% discount deals on items that the store adds occasionally. It can help you get things pretty darn cheap. I got 400 grams of Edam for 1.59 euros. And it tastes fine. I got a whole pack of greek pitas for 83 cents to go along with it.
For whoever interested, they have a bakery section with goods like brioches, donuts and bread.
Lastly, they weekly bring products from another country or culture, which are fun to try. Definitely most fun market to browse. Just wish it wasn't so gosh-darn far out of Sparti.
